hi!
I received my letter of interest on August 31st. Trying to access the skilled trades stream but the following message comes up :
Please note that the OINP has reached its registration intake limit for this stream. No new registrations will be accepted for this stream at this time. For more information please visit the OINP website
Anyone having the same message? I cant find any information about the stream being closed and when you first go on E-portal its says its currently accepting applications for the skilled trade stream.
any help will be appreciated! I'm pulling my hair out here!!

You meant Notification of Interest, right?

sorry guys! I just realised that the skilled trade stream is under HCP which has been closed for a while!

You meant you received "Notification of Interest" on 31st Aug? And your NOC is in HCP stream?? How's that possible - because as per 25th July update of OINP, there is a hold on intake for HCP stream - and the update also states that they would not issue any further Notifications of Interest?

sorry yes I meant notification of interest. I entered the express entry pool on august 26th 2017 and received NOI on 31st. my NOC number is 7321 and have been working in Ontario for more than 1 year now, with the same employer. After reading though this forum several times I thought it was strange that I received one! ive done lots of research and only meet the requirements the skilled trades stream. The more I research I do the more confused about the situation I get!!

Quick question guys, are NOIs being sent nowadays ? then OINP registration is closed due to the hold ? or ALL are in hold ?

I am asking because I am about to re-create my EE profile and expecting a NOI from Ontario so if I got it, then I have a 6 months to register through Ontario portal or should I wait until they announce that they are accepting new portal registrations?

Also, any recommended day before the draws to re-create my profile ?

Guys, @Jakki is under the skilled trades stream, not HCP. His NOC code 7321 is a skilled trade "Automotive service technicians, truck and bus mechanics and mechanical repairers."

The link for the Skill Trades Stream is still active, but I do see it gives this message when you click on it: "Please note that the OINP has reached its registration intake limit for this stream. Thank you so much for the reply, like I said before, I'm getting quite confused by the whole situation so thanks for clearing a couple of things up for me! I'm going to contact OINP about this and hopefully get some answers soon

Cool, let us know what they say. It might take them some time to get back to you. I emailed ontarionominee@ontario.ca soon after I received my NOI with some questions I had, and they took 2 weeks to reply to me (by which time the HCP stream I'm under was closed!). Fortunately I was able to get answers from other helpful people on these forums in the meantime, but unfortunately I was too slow by 1 day to register and have been waiting every day since July 25 for the HCP stream to reopen.

I emailed ontarionominee@ontario.ca soon after I received my NOI with some questions I had, and they took 2 weeks to reply to me (by which time the HCP stream I'm under was closed!). Fortunately I was able to get answers from other helpful people on these forums in the meantime, but unfortunately I was too slow by 1 day to register and have been waiting every day since July 25 for the HCP stream to reopen.

Thanks! That's great that you have family in Canada. It helps both for OINP and in the regular EE process to have family in Canada.

Ironically I was trying to immigrate to the UK, where I have some friends, before I finally decided on Canada. Are you in Toronto now?

The U.K. is a great country but I defiantly prefer canada!! I live just outside Toronto, never really liked living in a big city so the town we live in suits us nicely!

Hi friends. I have one question , I have created my EE profile on 29 august with 411 crs and NOC 2173. When OINP starts sending new NOIs do i need to create a new profile then.? Because i heared from someone that i need to create a new profile when oinp starts sending NOIs. Please advise guys.

HELLO all, i have created EE profile recently and my CRS is 383, so no hopes of invitation, but i think i i am eligible for OINP. My NOC is 2281. my question is if i pay the initial fees of $1500 (or whatever) and show that i i want to stay in Ontario, will i receive an invitation? please advice

Hi,

The process is bit different from as what you have expected.

Ontario sends Notification of Interest (NOI) to candidates in Express Entry pool. (with certain prerequisites like Score should be above 400).
Then the person has to apply on OINP e Filing Portal, along with the documents. (Checklist: http://www.ontarioimmigration.ca/pr...oipp/documents/document/oi_en_hcps_010517.pdf)
One has to pay fees during that time only. Rest upto Ontario to nominate the candidate.

You can not submit the OINP fees upfront without getting the NOI from Ontario.
Moreover, at the moment (Since 25th July 2017) Ontario has put a pause on sending NOI and registration of new profiles. (http://www.ontarioimmigration.ca/en/pnp/OI_PNPNEW.html)

I hope it would help you understand a bit about the Ontario PNP process.
