While gathering your evidence please focus on your relationship with your wife. That is where CIC seems to have doubts. Paternity can every easily be proven with a DNA test but they want ro see that you have a real functional marriage.

Hello everyone, i just came across this forum. We applied August 8th 2016 and on the 15th we received remedicals and same day email to submit passport, ofc, schedule A, travel history etc which we sent last Tuesday to accra. I was just checking online now and saw that it's been approved and the passport has been stamped. There is an additional section that shows document information and it has the counterfpil visa number. My question is how long does it take AVO to send pick up email? Or can we use the status at chi to pick up the document

I don't think u can use it .u just have to wait till they contact u that your passport is ready for pick up.for what i have red in this forum it take about 2weeks to a month for AVO to send pick up mail.by the way congratulations on your PPR.did they ask u for more additional proofs of your relationship before ask u for the remedical ?

Congratulations! At this point it won't hurt to send them a mail with your observation and ask if you an pick up. Wè here know how forgetful AVO can e. So just send them an email and see how it goes.

@Pake @Ugoswife thank you. No they didn't ask for additional relationship proof. We kept sending updates on proof of relationship...pictures, whatsapp calls msgs etc.

It really heart breaking to be waiting for this long.

I msg my MP today to see if he can somehow help me and my husband out.

I know he can't spend up the processing but it will be good to know the status of my husbands application.


I know by the grace of God, all this sad days will turn to happy days.

This Month God will perfect all that is not perfect In my husband and I's life.

I will surely come back here with testimony as many has been coming .

That I know.

You're at the end of the road already dear. You guys are up next and you applied early September so watch out for the following few weeks. I'm patiently for September applicants to start and be over as well.

Hi becos,

I would strongly advise that you push your representative to call CIC so that you can sort out your account linking. You paid for the service, and should get the best from them, cos the representative is limiting you from contacting AVO your self, seeing your wealth of advice to others.

It's not every time the email drops,but if linked, you can know if they have requested for something which you have missed/or even able to send stuffs to them.

It's just my silent thoughts.

It almost impossible to send the documents online because of the size limit and so your best bet is to send through mail. The letter your wife received from AVO will have the address at the bottom. Please use that or if you are not sure, you can send an email to AVO and ask them for what address to use to send the documents to them.
From the letter my wife got from AVO, they provided the address to send the police reports to at the bottom of the letter. The address provided was:

Check the content of the mail sent to you, electronic devices are not allowed, you might have to do without the video.
You can send multiple pictures, that would tell a story, print it out in a layered way

They do not accept usb drives, dvds or videos. Like I mentioned earlier, in order to make your supporting documents coherent, write a letter to the Immigration office AVO and the essence of this letter is to provide support documentation that your marriage is geniune. In this letter, include pictures, travel receipts if any, picture (many pictures over a period of time) and mail everything using DHL, fedex or any other company to AVO address in Accra. If you like you can then also use the CIC webform to inform them that you have mailled supporting documents to AVO so they know it should be on its way.

I pray you get a response from AVO this week because your applied late August 2016 and it appears they should be rounding off August applications going into september ones.

FYI- if your application has been transferred to Accra already there is no point contacting CIC-abroad because they can not help you as they told me but you can communicate with Accra office through webform with link below

I would highly suggest you send a webform to ACCRA, make sure to indicate how long its been with no communication you wish to no your application status. use this link below. please do not submit this form more than once
