Hi All, does anybody can share after receiving acceptance letter and file number...when did they receive or saw change in status as Sponsor approved...little background got accepted in 2017 intake and on Aug 29th received letter that they have accepted my parents file. just curious how long it will take to know if I'm approved as sponsor.

BTW- To whom it may concern When I sent my application by canada post, I didn't know to ask for Track# and that made me super nervous since I wasn't sure if my package is received! but fortunately it was received as it should be. So if anyone else has the same situation(probably nobody does so ), don't worry your application is in their mailbox...

I know I have a date for my virtual AOR in the sheet. But I just received today (Aug 29) the actual AOR in my email. Please update the sheet accordingly.

I have been seeing my application in ECAS and have linked the application to my account a week before.

Hi Sunny6a,

There is no status like "Sponsor approved". The defined status in the list of IRCC is "Decision Made".
You should receive the Sponsor approval within 3-4 week from AOR letter, if everything goes well with your income assessment and documentation.

Coul you add my entry to the sheet please:

AOR received : sorry but what does that mean AOR? I got an email on Aug 28 from CIC asking for the death certificate of my father and then another email on Aug. 29 saying that the application has been accepted.

I see the application number on the letter but I can not link the application to my account online. Someone can tell me if it's normal? Thanks alot!

I had really great experience talking to the CIC rep today.
I called CIC to check if my file has been received as I was unable to check status. The representative asked me for my details for ECAS & also confirmed my address and cell no. she had on the system. She confirmed my parents details and notified that my application has been received and currently verifying if my application is complete or not.
Never had that great service from CIC representatives. Really happy.
I think today is the good day to call before long weekend.

Hello All,

My Sponsorship Application Status is showing "In Progress" in ECAS. Permanent Residence Application status is showing "Application Received".

Most of the time I saw people having their Sponsorship Application Status as "Sponsor Approved". Can anyone please tell me if this is common? It is still showing "Your Action is Required" in GCKey account.

I have a question.i mailed my application on July 21st. I see that my application was recieved on July 24, but it is showing that I am the sponsored person, but I am sponsoring my mom. Is something wrong with my application?
