One humble suggestion to all ita awaitees who have recently joined the thread ... :)
take a pledge that no matter whether you are applying through a consultant or self, not to waste an ita when it comes your way.
While you wait make sure you,
1. Organise the Experience/ Reference letter exactly as per cic specifications/ letter of explanations / affidavits for miss spelt names (one and the same certificate)
2.Dont wait for the ita to arrange the funds and proof of funds...at least some of us are getting help from our parents or siblings...don't wait for the ita to get the fund transferred and gift deed done...anyway they have to give it,so get it at the earliest and be ready with proof of funds by getting gift deed notarized & required bank letters and keep the fund maintained there.
3. If you've lived outside ur home country & do not intend to visit there again before the eAPR,apply for pcc right away...
---
we all wait for ita and once it is there, we will chase all this and at least few will have to decline as they won't have time to manage the docs in time ....
Only medical needs to be kept for ita ...in fact even that can be done in advance ... ;) ...
Thank you :)

Hello. I noticed that you are very knowledgeable about this process. I want to find out if I can use my gratuity funds as part of POF. It's in a statement with my Pension find administrator. It's listed separate from my pension under a different code.

I totally agree!

There are some valid reasons for declining an ITA but before declining, think of those who have been waiting for a long time with lower CRS than you. Someone, even just one patient soul, will get his/her ITA in the next 2 or 3 draws if you will not decline your ITA and enter the pool again.

We are already given 90 long days so make the most of it to help other Canadian dreamers too.

LMAO. And from your lips to god's ears.

We spent the weekend getting documents ready even though we are currently no where near close. However, should there be another ITC week, we will be ready.

We are prepping to head to Toronto in January for school. My hubby is seriously job hunting. Nothing is certain, but it's all an adventure. Probably the worst part about all this will be telling our parents we will be gone by January.
Telling the parents is always the hardest

Good luck!

ooops....
You got me clean bowled there ...
I don't have a clear answer for your question...
---------
CIC mandates that the funds should be readily available with you & as such, gratuity is not readily available...however on issuance of pr you can quit the company and get your gratuity credited to your account...so,technically,you've access to the funds...
---
You may produce your gratuity statement and a letter from your company HR stating the gratuity withdrawal policy or stating it'll be available to you within so many days of leaving the company...then write a letter of explanation to explain that the money is accessible to you in short notice...
If you are able to convince the case officer it will pass smoothly...
---
CIC in latest update has mentioned even ownership in real estate is not allowed for proof of funds ~ refer the link

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/funds.asp

please wait for seniors view on thisI request @iamxty @Wandering Mind @andieangel to step in :(

I think you are correct @lino82 regarding this.
The money had to be "unencumbered" and easily available at the time of submission of application.
And also as & when CIC need to check. The PF in some places is not released immediately and might take some time.
That's why they (CIC) gives an option of gift deed, spouse money, (provided you have a declaration for the same) and 6 months statement.
Rest it varies from case to case.

I liked this post twice:p
So very true.

Keep documents ready as you have already applied and you know that you will be getting ITA.
Don't wait for the last moment. As you never know what papwerwork Might get stuck at any point of time. The administrative picture of most of the countries is more or less same. It takes time.
Utilise the time in hand and be ready with everything, including the backups and explanations.

Think of people who are on 432/431 who were eagerly waiting for ITA........:(

Well said :)

I also had a question. I had visited and stayed in Canada for 39 days precisely. Would I need to arrange for Canadian PCC too?

As far as I kno Canadian PCC isn't required for EE ...they have access to the info...
and anyway for stays lesser than six months duration it isn't required at all...
