Hello and AsalamOAlikum,

I have two questions about PCC:

1. My PCC covers my stay in my hometown (Gujrat) since 18 years of age to date. But from 2001 to 2005 I was in Rawalpindi for my studies, do I need a separate PCC from Rawalpindi as well. To explain further I have not mentioned that in my address history as it was before ten years from today. But it is mentioned under education history that I did my bachelor degree from Rawalpindi. Do I still need it?, as of course, I was more than 18 years of age when I studied in Rawalpindi although it was more than ten years ago?

2. My wife's PCC covers her stay at my place (which is after our marriage) and we have been married for 11 years. So she has stayed at this address for 11 years. So, is it necessary for her PCC to cover the period she had stayed at her parent's home i.e. since turning 18 till marriage?

Sorry for long post. I will really appreciate your help.

Thanks.

So I found out that my application is being processed in the London Office and that my application is in a queue awaiting review by an officer. Can anyone tell me what this means and how much more time it will take me?

I got my AOR on 20 Apr 17 and paid the fee upfront. On June 24 I was asked to submit an additional document: Police Certificate from Sudan (since I was in the Military and went on a UN mission to Sudan). I submitted that document on 31 July and to this date there has been no update regarding my profile. This is how it reads:

Application Status: We are processing your application. We will send you a message when there is an update or if we need more information from you.
Review of eligibility: We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements.
Review of medical results: You passed the medical exam.
Review of additional documents: We do not need additional documents.
Interview: You do not need an interview. We will send you a message if this changes.
Biometrics: We do not need your fingerprints. We will send you a message if this changes.
Background check: Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start your background check.
Final decision: Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made.

My background check hasn't even started yet. Its been over 125 days since my AOR and it seems to me as if my application is forgotten or something. I've tried contacting various offices and called the CIC number as well. I don't even know which office has my file and the number plays an automated message. Can someone please help me and guide me on this?
Thanks in advance

Hi Friends,

I have a question which i think might be answered several times but I am unable to find an exact answer.

I was brought up in UAE and never lived in Pakistan, we visited Pakistan in summer vacations during childhood and after I turned 18 the visits were not more than 2 weeks each year.

My question is; I do not have a permenant address in Pakistan as we do not have house there. Am I required to arrange a PCC from Pakistan? if yes, can I give address of my uncle or aunt where we used to stay during our vacations? and under permenant address section, can I give my current address where I am living i.e. Qatar?

Thanks

Assuming, you're a Pakistani national, but have never actually lived here. In that case, If your cummulative stay in Pakistan is anywhere around 3+ months, I'd recommend you get a PCC, and for that you have to give address of where you were staying. You can NOT give address of outside Pakistan.

Getting a Pcc from Pakistan is relatively easier, and plus it'll add on to transparency of your application.

Good luck!

There are different stages an application goes through with multiple background checks. Overall applications from Pakistan and a few other countries go through additional checks and therefore it takes longer than usual. It could be another 2-3 months wait.
Can you tell me where and how you contacted cic to get information on your application?

I have a few questions:

1. I started my 4 years Bachelors (Software) degree in 2011 but ended it in early 2017. I haven't gotten my degree yet but my courses completed in May 2017. Ever since I completed my courses, I am doing a full time job. So its about 5 months since I am doing a job. Prior to that, I was doing part time job along with my degree. I did part time for about 1.5 years. Now what I want to know is that will my part time job be accepted as work experience or it will be counted once my degree is completed?
2. Secondly, being a software engineer, which province should I be looking forward to? I am also thinking of enrolling into PNP to get more points.
