There is only me ( Primary ) in my application. I guess that may be the reason to speed up Background check. Not sure though.

@Kiran K according to the current trend how much time does it take from NA2 to PPR for CEC inland applicants ?? Could you please let us know. ?? And i believe after NA 2 its the IP2 which begins right how long that lasts for ?? If you could please answer these 2 queries.

After NA2 its IP2 and its taking 20-30 days for CEC applicants on average for this update. After IP2 PPR is issued in 15-20 days as per current trends.

Hey buddy. So I got an extension but not through the visa stamping office (whose email was included in the PPR mail) but through my visa office, which turned out to be CPC Ottawa. I only understood this because I just randomly tried to reply to the PPR mail; the auto-reply included in the email address for CPC-Ottawa, which I emailed and received a response from in about 4 days or so. So final verdict; they do give extensions but you have to try several channels to get through to the right office.
