Studying Masters on PR

Is it possible to count the period of full time studies (Masters degree of about 2 years) on PR status for citizenship eligibility? It seems that one need to provide tax poofs for the period of stay?

I'm confused by your tax question. You still need to file taxes even if you're attending school full time.

Yes a Masters degree in Canada. Oh wasn’t aware I needed to file taxes even though I don’t plan on working while studying.

You receive tax credits from the tuition you pay that roll over and can be used to offset future income. So it's to your advantage to file a tax return, but it's not necessary. You can always file a return in a later year if you want. If you have income, then you need to file the tax return. It's a condition for getting citizenship anyway, if that's in your future.
