Hi all,

I was wondering:

1- Do they check your passport and its stamps in the oath ceremony?

2- Is there any interview in the oath ceremony?

Please share your experiences.

Thanks

Once you have finished your test, you will meet with a CO for your interview (if applicable), all your documents will be verified there, no interview at the ceremony.

Its been done before according to reports here, but rarely. Generally speaking, the oath ceremony is purely perfunctory; they don't even make you show your passport. You just surrender your PR card and sign a few declarations about your continued eligibility for citizenship. But I suppose if you don't answer those declarations correctly, it could spark a full fledged investigation. Don't check the wrong box accidently!

Not that I am aware of. IRCC shows them to you when you check in for the oath and doesnt give you a copy. Just make sure you read them carefully and know what you are declaring to.
