Hi everyone.

To be confirmed but hubby was told this morning that our app may be lost . How can they lose an entire file ... And nobody knows what happened. They are just telling us to gather everything again and reapply.

-I feel like we have the same problem... but we send our applicatIon onmay 17, but until now no update/AOR...

Hi all,

We sent our spousal application out on May 27th. It's July 17th now and we haven't heard anything yet. No AOR, and when I use the online tool it says that it hasn't even been received yet which would make sense if they haven't opened it yet but..

Is this uncommon?

Also, is there is a difference between IN PROCESS and IN PROGRESS? the sheet has IN PROGRESS as column heading ..

Its IN PROCESS. Probably its a typo in the consolidated spreadsheet.

Once you get PCC request..... Is there a deadline in how many days you have to hand in?

I know medical is 30 days

Like clutsy said, the deadline date will appear in your GCkey account next to the upload button. I got my Schedule A & PCC request on July 10 and my deadline was August 17. So for me the deadline was 1 month and 1 week later.

First calls they said app not found. Then on thursday an agent said it's lost. Another agent said we should write to Ottawa and ask them what happened. Then they have 90days to make an inquiry
We tried to get help from the MP but they went on vacation and will be back in August 2nd week. Right now we don't know... Maybe gather everything again Useless stressful issues

Hi guys,
I have a question. May be someone can help me out.
I sent my application to sponser my husband in india on 9 june.yesterday my husband got medical request.
Problem is that on medical request form they stated old passport number for my husband.
He changed his passport after marriage while adding spouse name.
We sent new passport copies with our application.I dont know why they use old passport number for medical.
Is this normal? Anyone have some situation?

Hi there!

Im new to this forum although our application is already on-going. In fact me and my daughter just finished medical exams in Manila couple of days ago so were technically just waiting for the approval of which and hoping to move forward from then. Our application was received June 6, 2017.

I have one concern though with regards to the non-accompanying form for a minor dependent child. My daughter is not my husband's, biologically speaking. My ex (which I never married) and I are not in good terms, and my daughter carries his last name. Ex doesnt want to sign the form, so when my husband and I submitted the form I wrote a letter to CIC narrating what I have gone thru with my ex and how I decided to cut all ties of my daughter from him together with a notarized affidavit saying that under Philippine Law the mother exercise absolute parental authority over an illegitimate child.

Long story short, we have come to this point of the application, does that mean that CIC has honored my letter and the affidavit? Last check with an immigration specialist, they told us that CIC always wants either the form or a custody order, and I currently doesn't have either one.

Hope somebody from this forum could share his knowledge or experience.

We do have similar situation. My kid is not going with me too. Just confused because CIC did not ask me for anything like custody order or whatnot. Will you be taking your kid with you (although I see that you wrote she's non accompanying too)? Did CIC asked you to send anything?

My uncle who's a lawyer said if the biological father has not made contact with you or the child, that could be a case of abandoned child, which will make you the sole party eligible for custody. You could go to any lawyer and ask for a document that confirms the child is of such case. (if this is your case too)

Even if we send the new application how can we send the proof of relationship again. Like in mu case I have sent all the bills our flight boarding pass n all in original. That would be a big problem now.

Do they give extension if u ask for it??

With valid reason, yes (e.g. long processing in certain countries, request/consent letter required before processing). Just upload an explanation letter in place of a PCC.

I think in process is updated when they send file to local VO. AOR2 on its way for you

Can you tell us your timeline? so we can get better idea of your situation

You can give sponsor's UCI to them.
