Got an update on my cic account.
2 things changed at the same time.

1. Background = We are processing your background check
2. Documents = We do not need any more documents

My background was always NA, I never saw any change. This is the first time i am seeing this.

Can anybody tell what do these changes mean?

PPR FINALLY!!!

I would like to share my joy with you all. You have all been great companions in the wait for this golden email. This forum kept me going and my hopes high, reassured every time I read a post that I didn't make any mistakes in my application (submitted by self). :D:D
The golden love letter from CIC dropped this morning but dated 17th.
I wish you all a speedy PPR and am positive there's gonna be another PPR rain this week.

Hi Vishal, is your BGC in NA from 28 June 2017 without any change? Do you have any Travel History that required a PCC?? What is your stream? Thanks.
Hey,

Yes no change in BG status from 28th June (NA till date). Short travels to US for which PCC not needed. I received a response from CIC today that my Visa office is Ottawa. I'll let you know the stream shortly (notes on the computer :)

Since there was a rain of PPRs on Friday/Saturday I sent an e-mail to CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca on Saturday to ask about a VO again and to tell them I had a problem with my e-mail in case I got the PR mail and the mail was erased.. I just got an e-mail confirmation my app. is approved. C/P:

"Dear Ivana,
Please be advised that your application has been approved and is being processed as per our regulatory timeline at our office.
Please note that we do not require any information from you at the present time. You will be receiving instructions shortly. Regrettably, we are unable to provide you with a timeframe, but rest assured we are doing what we can to process your application in a timely fashion.
We appreciate your patience and ask that you keep correspondence with our office to a minimum.
Regards,
Marie"

So in case you get an angry officer on the phone, e-mail is a lot nicer! Basically, told the information in two sentences. Well thank you Marie. So in case you have something really important to ask them, try to do it through "VO enquiry", that way they will notice it and probably answer it. Also Sydney never responded to any e-mail, so blessed be Ottawa.
Officially waiting for the rain :) All IP2's from last week... unite!

Congrats Astra!! Awesome! Really happy for you! Get ready for Canada!

Hi all, I just received a message with regards to my VO enquiry.

Dear Sir/Madam,

Please note that your application is currently at the Centralized Intake Office in Sydney, Nova Scotia and has not yet been transferred to a local visa office.

Please submit any inquiries via our web form and your inquiry will be directed to the correct office.

It seem like a generic email as it wasn't addressed with my name. I honestly don't know what to make of the response.

Any thought on this?
Now you know u are in Sydney and u wait for IP2! According to VO, average time for processing is 112 days https://myimmitracker.com/en/ca/tra...cs/average-time-to-a-ppr-based-on-visa-office

Hi Prats6, congrats on your PPR. Did you have any Travel History by any chance. Just wanted to know the timeline with and without Travel Histories. Thanks.

Yes, I do have business travels, but not very extensive. I know for fact that one of my colleague who had a much varied travel got his PPR around 2 weeks later than me.

No, I just got an email from cic saying that your profile has been updated. But no changes to the profile when we opened the account. It worried me for a while, then I read on the forum that it's called Ghost email. Medicals not passed yet. day 54 after AOR

I'm at 57 days after AOR and still no medicals passed. I might be a special case though, since I strongly suspect I will receive a fairness letter due to the expensive medication that I take :(
