What I can understand though no expert ..the eligibility was recommended pass at end of Mar 2017 by Case Analyst. So when the file moved to case officer he changed the status as wanted to review some aspect of your case so it changed back eligibility to Not Started. As your security screening is ongoing the eligibility status didn't change and would change back to passed once security review is completed.
Though you will have more detailed explanation in the end of notes whether there was any specific reason for the eligibility change (if it has not been redacted)

I hope it is all sorted out soon!

thank you rg74. your message votes for what I proposed initially. and I guess the op here needs faith more than our soothing technical consolations. but then faith we can't give to each other. and isn't it getting eroded step by step starting with the thought that my country is not good enough, my friends and society not enough.....and then I put my future in hands of a remote promise of a "better" income, society, job an what not. and as I get each of these in varying measures I may find losing something else inside me...faith.... which has till now given me the option to fail with grace

Hello All,

My GCMS notes is 208pages long and I read through every page. Based on this I have some opinion on Eligibility status:

I think the eligibility is recalculated every time there is a change of whatsoever, or someone work on your application.

For example, I noticed that from the day I completed my EE profile my Eligibility status was calculated and status 'met' . However, all the times I adjusted or deleted any information on my profile, the eligibility was reassessed again and status' met'

After my AOR in Feb, Eligibility was calculated and assessed as 'met' however, before my medical it changed to 'not started' then after medical pass changed back to met. Before my criminality it changed back to 'not started' then after criminality was passed it changed to 'review required' on the same day an agent made a note on 11.2. No concern was raised. Then my file was transfered to LVO at which point the Eligibility changed to 'not started'

My guess is; once any change whether GCMS automated system or an office review the file, the Eligibility is recalculated.

Therefore I wouldn't lose sleep on Eligibility status so far no concern was raised by officers and you initially met the eligibility requirements after your AOR and no change to your situation.

Now, this is just my humble opinion based on studying my GCMS notes which is by no means a fact.

No i have remained in IP2 status throughout whilst they carry out security screening.

Below are my most recent activities. After "Activity 15" at the end of March 2017, my eligibility was "Passed" upon the officers review and i moved to IP2.

However in Activity 10 (early May 2017) the 11.2 was cancelled and eligibility on the GCMS notes changed to "Review Required"

By the way for those crossing 5 months of wait, the story in the new era is:
https://myimmitracker.com/ca/trackers/ndvo-e-apr-tracker/cases/case-23349

Happy for the guy, but then why the officer working on this application did not pick a file from Feb instead? Logically it means things are not stuck due to visa officers. It implies when cases are looked in depth then some agencies are involved who have more important things to do than provide clearance to new immigrants. Hence, we are now heavily dependent on an act of randomness. Therefore, the best way to handle this is to completely ignore this.

Got this reply to my email about application status with BG IP2 since 26th May

Cheers & Best of LucK!
Sad to know that your application stuck in IP2 from long. What they means when they says "requires additional verifications" what type of verfications you are expecting.
Secondly, do you have travel history and if you don't mind can you tell us that you have dependants in your application or not?

We pray that your get PPR email in this week.

By in-depth I meant his file most likely didn't require additional reviews/verifications. Hence, some agencies weren't involved. And therefore a speedy PPR.

I sent an email requesting for my application status update and I got the following reply

"Please note that your application is awaiting review with an officer in London.
We thank you for your patience and we will be in contact when further information is required from you."

I think this means I might be moving to IP2 soon since it has moved to a VO, right?o_O

I think, the files that are processed in Ottawa, don't go through IP2. Just a guess. Any idea?

Don't go anywhere fifty miles beyond your hometown, don't study any hi-tech or foreign affairs related college majors, stick with your first job in a local family enterprise since graduation, be an entry-level programmer/accountant/clergy all your life, then your file will be crystal clear and you'll submerge and propel like a torpedo:p

Me too, what we should worry about is not BC anymore, we are talking about security screening, that is serious business. Had I been given a second chance, I would've stayed put and been a choir boy that CIC truly favors.
