@falconlegal

Team, When applying for express entry under CEC, i made a mistake and wrongly calculated a month extra for my canada experience and got the invite on April 5th. When I submitted on July 2nd , I realized that i had only completed 23 months on April 5th. I have claimed points ofr 24 months of Canada experience. I am still on Canada payroll and have completed my 24 plus months.

Will my Canada experience which is current will be counted or will they reject my application?

Should i withdraw the application or keep it?

Please help me out

As I understand it, for the second year of experience, it goes by the date you submit your eAPR. Now, I can't say if it's a huge problem that you miscalculated, that's up to the VO to determine, but my best guess is that you're fine.

Thanks buddy ! Will VO be in a position to know about it that I miscalculated it. Is there a way for system to give him that heads-up or do VO go manually looking and comparing dates mentioned during ITA and eAOR stage?

There is no way anyone could possibly know. I would assume they will check when you started, when you submitted, and the fact that you're still working there, and figure it out from there.

The EE system automatically count your months, and gives point,not you. What do you mean you counted wrong?
When did you started to work?

Hi Sandra, when i entered my months on EE system I added one month less for my US experience and in turn showed 1 month more for Canada experience and hence the day i got my ITA my canada experience was 24 months and i got the points for 2 years of Canada experience.

When I submitted the application last week i changed the original dates and hence my Canada experience got reduced to 23 months as of the day i got my ITA. But since my canada work experience is current, as of the day i submitted my application my Canada experience had crossed 24 months.

So what bothers me if the Visa officer will take the 2 years of Canada experience as of the ITA date or as of eAOR date?

Does it mean that the starting month what you wrote in EE is not correct?
There are many case on this forum (like mine) when the systeme gave me 1 year experience in few days or few week advance, because the system ask only year and month. So sometimes if you do not have real 365 days, the system gives 1 year. In those case the starting date is always written correctly. That is a fault of system.
But if you wrote wrong month for starting date, it might be a misrepresentation.

I think you need to give out the details. For example what starting date did you enter when submitting your profile; and what did you do after the ITA. Did you change ur starting date to a different one with your profile submission etc. Your description is kind of confusing to me.

Hi there,

I will try to simply again. When i created my express entry profile in between my Canada experience of 2 years ( between January 2015 to March 2017) i showed 3 months of foreign work experience , as I was out of country. But when i got my ITA and i was submitting my documents , i realized my US work experience was 4 months and not 3 months. So on the day i got my ITA my Canada experience becomes 23 months. Will the Visa officer consider the date of ITA invite to calculate my Canada experience or the date of submission of my application
