Sorry just realised my posts above got messed up as I was using my phone... Any update this week?
On the 22nd of June (1 day after my email) my BGC changed to In Progress 2 - so I guess this means the officer is reviewing now.....no news since then.

Hi Orichy! Good luck! There is another Trinidadian doing the QSW and got through recently. Seem as though there are a few Trinidadians taking that route. Can you elaborate a little more on the process for the benefit of our new members and those wishing to apply as QSW is quite different to FSW.
Okay. So as a little backdrop, I began the process in 2013 ending. Received CSQ (skilled Workers certificates) last December.

Application was submitted for federal processing in January 9, 2017.
I received my first aor in March. Once the federal government is finished with the preliminary checks then the submit your file to the visa office assigned to your country of residence.
In my case that is the POS, trinidad. Once the local VO receives the file then they send you a second AOR and a notification that processing has commenced for your file.

This stage is followed by MR and the ppr etc.
There is a limited information regarding this QSQ process at the POS visa office.

So now am just waiting to see how things will progress.

Thank you sharing the detailed information guys! It is the intention to provide as much information as possible in this group so others before and after us can also benefit. There are not much details/information available on POS VO.

Hi Welcome!

I am not sure about a whatsapp group....we are very small in number for this visa office....
We're just trying to gather as many people here so that we can share our experience with this VO....

Good day, just wanted to share timeline
I haven't been keeping exact track of my application dates however I can say :
Visa office: Port of Spain
Application stream : FSW outland
I received AOR on Jan 16th
Medicals Passed: early March
No change in any other parameter with the exception of website formatting change to NA

Today however I received my PPR !...unexpectedly i received notice of a message in my CIC account when I was religiously looking out for a direct email as many people indicated this is the way they were notified.
With that in mind I decided to share the news so that other members in the same stream who are also waiting can feel some hope.

Thank you @Jamaicangirl88 Jamaicangirl88 for directing me here.

You're Welcome!

Which country are you from?

Did you ever email the visa office for the status of your file?

Hi. I'm from Trinidad and yes I did email them about 3 weeks ago but I got a generic response saying my file was being processed within the time-line.

Okay, thanks for the quick reply....

My 6 month mark will be July 21......I was thinking of emailing them if I don't hear anything by end of this week.....but I'm starting to wonder if I should give them an extra week...

Well if we're using my application as a barometer I'm approximately 10 days shy form my 6 month deadline so maybe give it until the 10th contact them. I hope you get your ppr soon

That's great!!!!!! Right now I'm trying to send my passport by courier but the simplest thing has stumped me. My passport has my first and middle name under my given name and the form asks for the first name and I'm not sure if that really means my given names as seen on my passport.

I would put my name exactly as it appears in passport - with first and middle.....just to be on the safe side
