Don't you think CIC might be worried that you never traveled to any nation before now :p:p:p (just kidding)I don't think so.
The reason is that CIC is mainly concerned with travels because they have to check the person's BG everywhere he had stayed. This takes time, hence the delay in processing.

Now, I'm not concerned what CIC thinks about the reasons why I've not travelled. What I really care about is that they don't have to spend much time for my BG to process as I don't have anything worth checking!:D

BTW, thanks for your wish.
Wishing you the same.

I know it doesn't require much time, although previously they used to take 65 - 70 days to even pass the medicals, didn't they?
Now they are doing it within a month.
If they can check medicals this fast, I bet they also definitely can check & approve BGC quickly.

That's what I was trying to say.
Those 65-70 days were not for passing medicals only. That's the time they took to get your application under processing. Medical check hardly takes a day or so. But background check can take longer as it involves multiple checks..employer, police clearance, proof of funds which are not directly referenced like medicals or WES or IELTS.

Seeing this rocket speed, I guess I won't get my status changed to IP2 from NA.
I may directly get a PPR instead of going into IP2.

The reason I'm believing this is that I had an RPRF request, so I passed my eligibility, along with medicals previously.
Now, I don't have even a single travel history to any nation, and a clean PCC (from PSK, India), so I'm not a so-called 'threat' to Canada!;)
I guess criminality and security issues won't apply to me.

Hence, after RPRF, all they need to do is sending the golden email to me, the very long-awaited PPR!

P.S. - Totally my own (optimistic) belief. Others may differ, though I wanna believe this only!:p
I second that:)

But that comes later, under eligibility, first is R10 only (completeness check and that is not at all quality based, hence can be done very quickly.

Also based on previous rejection period it is evident that R10 was taking 60-70 days earlier, now its come down to 30-45

Guys,
I just sent an email to CIC requesting to know status and VO of my application.
I sent one last week though, and got a reply. My file was in CIO then. Need to know what's up with my application if there is a bit of movement.
I will update here once I get any news

I'm on day 88 and still no movement. On NA for 24 days now. Last week, when I checked, 10 days back, my file was at CIO Sydney.
I mailed them again just now to see if there is any change in VO office. Except for a handful of cases in April, they are still issuing PPR for February and March cases.

Do update us on your mail reply,
Also I think @comfortablynumb is at day 98 now, and he is single applicant, no travels, and he was very confident about his employment verification also, so all in all an ideal case as we say, still don't know what is with CIC.
I am waiting for his GCMS to arrive so that he can tell us what is actually happening with your guys file and where is the delay happening....

In all fairness, there is no delay. It's just that we are getting impatient. If you look at the PPRs being processed at the moment, and do a sort on the dates on the tracker, most PPR is happening post day 100. A few here and there get it before day 90 and but 80% of the folks are getting between 100 and 120 days.

And CIC does not promise anyone a PPR before 180 days...so we are all just being greedy! LOL
