Passports to CPC Ottawa- June 2017

Hi guys - My passport was receive by CIC on 23rd June so naturally no updates yet.

The day I sent the passport, I realized I forgot to write application number on the back of photos. Though I did write my date of birth and name (plus photographer address and date). I emailed cpc-ottawa same day but no response yet. What should be the best thing to do at this moment.

Relax. You'll be fine, if they need something they'll contact you. I would suggest try calling them and clear it up.

Haha thanks but I'm still waiting for case approval and passport with stamp back to
me.

I call them around 10-11CST. You might have to try multiple until you succeed.

I just got passports request, and will send it tommorow. I'm planning a vacation, would like to leave Canada August, 7th. What do you think, should I get my passports by that time? Can I send them passports via overnight FedEx or Canada XpressPost is mandatory both ways?

Its tough to get passports by that time, based on current trend. for inland, Canada XpressPost is mandatory both ways.

Guys normally how long it takes to see our application approved in my cic account after delivered passport to ottawa?

I used Fedex both sides with 1 day overnight shipping and it worked out perfect. Passport delivered to Ottawa on 16th June and received passport back today, 28 June. All the best

Did you need to check the website to see if the tracker was activated, or did you receive an email on it?

What exactly did you asked and what did she replied?

When I call, I just ask I want to confirm if my passport has been received and what's the current status.

I believe you need to call again and talk to a different rep

Thanks, I'm pretty sure I've seen that as well. I used FedEx both ways, but for sure my return FedEx label is expired now, with no tracking activated.

I would check with FedEx on the expiry of the return label. Since you paid for it I am guessing it really does not matter of the shipping date on the return table is in the past. As long as the return label is not used it should be ok to use it when ever, even after the ship date.

Try and try until you succeed. They shut the call center number down when volume increases beyond a certain threshold. So keep trying.

You don't have to mention the application number on the back of your photo. You only have to write down your Name and Date of birth along with Photo Studio details (Address and date the photo was taken).

That is exactly what I asked about. I think I will call again. Sometimes they are just too lazy to check for you.

Make sense. Mine wasn't asking for App number. I'm NOT visa exempt
