So, I want to point something out...

CIC generally won't just refuse a case. The procedure states they are supposed to raise the issues they have with the applicant, by letter.

This is called the procedural fairness letter. They highlight what's broken and what they believe. It's then up to you to fix it. And they do give you time to.

So don't fret if you get one, and the proof is possible to supply. It's the last chance to save your file...

Hi experts,
I posted this question on another thread but it was not active. Thus, I post here.

I would be grateful if you guys could share your perspective on my issue. For your information, my PR is based on CSQ certificate. I will be getting my PR on or before November 2017 and I live in Australia now. During the CSQ process, due to lack of points for CSQ and some other reasons, I added my wife name as a non-accompanying member in the application. Currently, we both live in Australia ( we are not Australians) and she is on dependent visa. More importantly, CIC requested her PCC and medicals as like the way they did to me. Also, her name with UCI no in GCkey account as my dependent.

My questions are:

1. As her details are already in CIC database, does it make my spousal sponsorship application move faster than that of a normal one?

2. Is there any link to calculate spousal sponsorship visa process time in Canada embassy in Australia?

3. As I know, getting a visitor visa for a spouse is not easy, but still possible. My wife is well educated and our bank balance is good too. Also, we live in a country which is not a home country for both of us. In this case, what is the possibility to get a visitor visa for her?

Thank you in advance.

1 - possibly. It will all depend.

2 - no? Not sure what you're asking for?

3 - it's possible if she has ties somewhere and can demonstrate those, and she has a reasonable travel history with a record of compliance.

5-10 mins once you're called up. We were done in less than 10 including waiting for two others before us. Go earlier!!

Thanks a lot. For the question no 2, I guess I have found that 12 months is an average time for spousal sponsorship(Outland) regardless of country

Canada after 150 yrs
What have changed, what have remaind the same, see this documentary of the man who almost lost his rights and what the Charter of Rights means. . .
Confederation's 150th birthday has sparked genuine reflection from some corners, empty-headed myth-building from others (hello, CBC's Canada: The Story of Us). Fortunately, In the Name of All Canadians is firmly in the former category, an impressively curated selection of six short documentaries that take a serious, sometimes heartbreaking look at this country we call home, specifically the country that has existed since the Charter of Rights and Freedoms has taken hold.
