Dear all,
i got the ITA last week and now figuring out the POF. I'm currently having no bank saving account which is 6 months old. I only have bank statement which states my monthly salary whose balance is not enough.
  • For the minimum required amount for 1 family member ($12,300), I intended to ask my father give $12,300 as a gift to me, then I will prove it as gift deed. Or the 2nd option, I will ask my father transfer the ownership of the house to me, then I'll liquidate house and deposit the money into my account. For the 2 options, I'm just afraid of the "6 months old" concern.
  • The last option is to ask my father transfer the ownership of his bank savings to me which is already more than 6 months, but the amount of money is much more than $12,300.
Senior member please help to advice!!! Thank you.

I know its dirt cheap to get the gift deeds, affidavit etc in India.
But is affidavit really necessary as its telling the same thing as mentioned in gift deed?

Hey folks! a quick question about when to get a gift deed. i received a gift from my parents but this was after I received my ITA. Would the fact that i disclosed I have sufficient funds to meet the minimum threshold on the EE application before receiving the ITA count as misrepresentation? Anyone who has got a gift deed done after receiving an ITA??

Nokia 3315, no one seems to be sure about that. I already made the gift deed and acceptance by me on the same letter, with both signatures, and i will get a lawyer to just stamp it for me. I will also attach a copy of the relative's ID. I dont think they need more than that.

Hi! You also included the bank letter right? Along with bank statements?

No, my bank refused issuing any letters whatsoever. I put 6 months statements instead. Also, when i read the requirements cic wants in the letter, they clearly state that it should include any outstanding loans/credit cards debts. So even though many members here say you dont need to include that, but since i was already in a weak position by not having a bank letter, i wrote them a LOE and in it i disclosed my old credit card debt and included statements from my online banking showing payments and remaining balance to be paid. I figured best way is just to be honest and show them what they want to see. In my case even if they deduct the remaning balance from the amount i have in my account, i will still have enough above the minimum required funds.
Conclusion is, every case is different. You should just make sure to show them there is nothing fishy and that you are honest.

Could you tell me when to get the gift deed money transferred to my account? Is is before the creation of express entry profile or after ITA?

My parents are going to transfer nearly half the ammount needed for my immigration. Since I am likely to get ITA in the upcoming draw, and my parents just transferred the money to me, would it be a problem?

Also, what is a gift deed and an affadavit? How are they different and how to get it in india?

Good Day Everyone

I have pretty much looked everywhere for an answer but all post seem to differ slightly from my situation.

My wife is the principal applicant for EE. Our CRS is 455, which is looking good to get a ITA. We have already done everything needed except for the thorn in our side, the POF. Now we do not have the amount required as yet. Is it possible to apply and save up the required amount? Which we can do in about 4 months. So we would have the required amount in our account by the time that we land or a month or so before. Is this possible, or would we have to save up the amount, hold it for 6 months then apply?

We also do not have any other personal finances to use to make up this money.

However, as a last resort I can also ask my father to gift me this amount, and then do the gift deed. As I understand if this is done, the I do not need to show this amount in my account for 6 months?
