I hope you are not getting annoyed.

So, basically you are saying:-

Application to Sponsor, Sponsorship Agreement and Undertaking (IMM 1344) (PDF, 441.45 KB)
I fill up, put my dad as Principal Applicant and , list my mom as Dependent (Spouse). My spouse is not a cosigner. Me and My Dad signs it.

BUT SHE IS A FAMILY MEMBER AND YOUR FAMILY SIZE IS 4

Financial Evaluation for Parents and Grandparents Sponsorship (IMM 5768) (PDF, 1.55 MB)
I fill up and sign it. No Cosginer.
Income Sources for the Sponsorship of parents and Grandparents (IMM 5516) (PDF, 1.17 MB)
I need not fill, as I have provided my SIN number on the previous form.
Generic Application Form for Canada (IMM 0008) (PDF, 513.30 KB)
Dad fills up the form and lists the mom as dependent.
Schedule A – Background/Declaration (IMM 5669) (PDF, 433.00 KB)
Both mom and dad fills the form
Additional Family Information (IMM 5406) (PDF, 570.00 KB)
Both mom and dad fills the form
Use of a Representative (IMM 5476) (PDF, 648.31 KB)
Myself, mom and dad fill and signs the form. ALL IS CORRECT

And, last question, they should NOT list my sibling in dependent section, if they are older than 18 years and are working

NOPE, NOT DEPENDENT if older 19.

Hello folks,
Quick questions:

  • In the form 5768. I am filling my wife's employment details in the last section. 17. I that it asks for Family size as well. I have filled 4 in the Family size for my employment history. Will the cosigner be having the same number in the "Family size" column?
yes, s/b your total from IMM5768
  • Also I am self employed now, what documents should I produce to justify my 2017 income. (Article of incorporation for my company, Invoices in the business name or Paystubs given to me by myself from my company or something else?)
Note: If you are applying in 2017, you must provide proof of income from the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) for the taxation years of 2016, 2015 and 2014.
Just follow instructions

Pls suggest. Thanks in advance to this really helpful group.

I did the same, but I JUST submitted my wife's 2014-2016 option c as they requested, did you send your Option C as well? I want to know if that is the case for delaying our application.
Thank you.
Was she listed as co-sponsor

Yulia-2016 thanks for your help..

One question about Financial Evaluation for Parents And Grandparents Sponsorship - IMM 5768.
My wife is not cosigner, but she is employed.
Therefore,
  • I select No for Question 1A) Is your spouse or common-law partner co-signing the undertaking?
  • I selected Employed as she is for Question 15) Your spouse's / common law partner's current situation?
Now should I select anything for Q 16-Co-signer - Statement of Consent and do I need to enter anything for her employment in Q17.
SHE IS NOT A CO-SIGNER

I Believe No. Want to hear views..

Note that it's safer to include your wife as a co-signer. Remember you need to keep meeting LICO up to the time your parent's PR app is approved. If anytime after submitting app you lose your job or for any reason have lower income in a future year so don't meet LICO on your own, keep in mind you are not able to add your wife as co-signer later on, unless you have a change in family size. So even if you don't need her income now, it would be safer to have her future income included just as a safety factor.

Thanks for your reply.

So, what is you answer for my question.

Can someone help clarify, please:

For the Schedule A (Background /declaration), IMM 5669:

a) Question 7 - Have your ever been a member of an organization, such as a trade union, professional association, or political, social, youth or student organization?
It does not state the time frame they want. Do they want details "since the age of 18, or the past 10 years, whichever is most recent"?

b) Question 8 - Have you ever held any government positions?
It does not state the time frame they want. Do they want details "since the age of 18, or the past 10 years, whichever is most recent"?

c) Question 9 - Have you served in the armed forces of any country?
It does not state the time frame they want. Do they want details "since the age of 18, or the past 10 years, whichever is most recent"?

Thanks.

Thank you so much. is it an immigration office? I have to give my name and ask they received my documents?
You are welcome! It is IRCC Call Centre. Just give them your UCI and they can look for your docs. Ask them to confirm if your application is complete? Beyond that it is just a waiting game.

You are right for Qs 15
For Qs 16.. it should be left blank as ur wife is not a co-signer. Signing there will rather confuse them since you have no for 1a. Logically they would need to know your spouse status even when he/she is not co-signer

I don't have UCI ?? If I give them My name they can confirm they received my documents?
Thank you

you should have the UCI, Check your landing papers for PR . citizenship certificate also has your UCI, If not just give them your name.
BTW, I checked the status of my application using the CIC online tool, and now it is showing "Application Received on May 16th". Give that a shot as well.
