what is the wait time now a days before receiving the first AOR?
 
Hi guys,

I'm an Oct 2016 applicant and I just got my notes. Although eligibility, security and criminality all show as 'not started' I noticed they extended my medical. It was expiring today, .i.e. 21st June, 2017 but now it has been extended till 15th March, 2018. Is that a good thing or a bad thing? Does it mean anything at all?

Appreciate any comments or thoughts!

My wife who is a principal applicant is sending me documents from Karachi. My question is , it states dont do medical and police check now. Should we follow this script and in case she does both of it , should she send me originals of both or just a photocopy ? At one place it says, she she has to submit IMM 5669 Background online , same is the case with police certificate or it has to be hard copy ?

Is it safer that I ask her to send me both police clearance and medical since I will be doing process or tell her to wait and not do both these.

Hi,
It is best to get the PCC done right now but upload it once they request it. You can do that online now so the process is very fast. As far as Medical goes you will have to wait for IRCC to request it. They will send a personalized form with your UCI and Application # which the medical facility will send directly to IRCC once the medical is done.

God bless you and thanks for such a quick helpful response , so I will tell her to start the police check and wait for Medical. Just to clarify, does she need to send me police clearance or she does not need too as she can submit it online, same question for medical once she will be asked ?

She can hold on to the PCC if uploading it, scanning etc won't be an issue for her. Or she can send it to you and you can upload it on her MyCIC account once it is linked an all. Medical will be sent directly by the medical centre that performs the medical.

Perfect and thank you . So in a nutshell, PCC can be started but not need to be submitted nor needed to send me and for Medical, wait for instructions. :)

you got it! they have made several changes to the application and this is one of them. Make sure to use the new checklist form as well. Good luck!

I have applied in 22nd march 2017 and got sponsorship approval on 21 april 2017 and they have requested medical and schedule A and I have provided them in a week but still I haven't heard anything about transferring my file to LVO..
Your sponsorship has been approved or not?
