Getting married after PPR

HI I HAVE ONE CONCERN,
i will getting marry in 10th June, and my concern is if my ppr letter come before or after this time ( my aor is 10th Dec 2016, ) i need to inform CIC my status change, and i also need to upload the official marriage certificate ( i don't need to spouse my husband), but the marriage certificate will come around 3 weeks after my wedding takes place. the marriage commissioner said he will give me a " temporary marriage form" on 10th June and i will upload this document for evidence. My concern is WILL CIC hold my application before i get the official marriage certificate???

Thanks a lot for the answers. One last issue that makes me very uncomfortable is getting the marriage certificate on time.

I've spoken to many of the marriage officiants in Toronto and none of them could guarantee that I can receive the certificate quickly.

Most of them quote 8-10 weeks processing time for the certificate. Ofcourse I'm still going to try to get it done asap but it doesn't give me peace of mind.

Q) In the scenario where getting the marriage certificate is not possible within whatever time period IRCC gives me. What are my options? Do I send in the receipt for the marriage certificate, receipt and copy of the marriage license and a letter of explanation?

HI i am in the same situation, i will get marry around this period of time and the marriage certificate comes after 3-4 weeks, did CIC recognize your receipt for the marriage certificate and copy of the marriage license?

Hi folks, I just got ITA and plan to get married before eAPR as the after-married CRS score is still above the ITA minimum score by a large margin. Do I need to inform CIC or just proceed with the application noting in the forms that I am now married and CIC officer will take care of this? Thank you for your advice?

By case specific form as well as to CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca. I had got an automatic reply but haven't received any feedback from them.

After receiving the PPR case will be transferred to CHC, New Delhi. Either you have to provide the information through IRCC webform or send an email to

Varies depending on complexities involved in spouse's medicals/PCC(s)/travel history etc. Typically between 4 to 8 weeks of delay.

Your marriage certificate is proof enough. I did not update my passport and my application was approved.

please help me on this. I recently got married on 3rd june and then informed CIC through case specific form as well as CPC-Ottawa email, just a day after. It's 10 days since then, I haven't received any feedback from them but instead I got PPR today. What do I do now? Should I send the passport or should I just wait for them to reply because i still have a month to respond to PPR.

March 20th: PPR Request
March 25th: Got Married
March 26th: Informed IRCC of change in Martial Status
March 28th: Received request from IRCC to upload documents for spouse
April 10th: Uploaded all the documents for spouse
April 14th: BG changed to "We are processing your background check ... "

When u got the ppr, did u send the passport right away or did u get married and then waited for doc request? M in the same boat. Too many confusions. I got married before ppr. Informed cic but before they saw my mail, i got ppr. Some days later delhi immigration has sent doc request but no clear instruction on whether or not to send passport. Even no timeline for submitting the docs

Resend the inquiry once again explaining the entire scenario along with dates, then they will ask you to resubmit the passport ( Assuming you got the stamped PP with COPR letter) and additional documents required, old stamping will be cancelled and they'll issue a new one.

That is exactly wat happened my friend. I hadn't send the passport but they have asked me to return the passport asap.
anyways now that i got the additional doc request, what forms are these?
'an IMM8 Application form, a Schedule 1 Background Declaration form, and a Family
Information form' completed and signed by spouse. Are these 3 forms or jst a single form?

Schedule 1 background declaration is for both PA & spouse
Additional family information form is for both PA & spouse

Guys can someone please write the exact documents CIC requires when adding spouse after PPR??

I am at Vienna office, but I am not sure if requirements are the same for all offices.

What details you need to provide to the doctor to take upfront medical for my future wife? Is it my EE number, UCI or what...? I already got PPR
