Can i as a citizen ask for a copy of the birth certificate of the Hon. minister of Immigration?

Why would you need it?

Oh seems like you're asking for the immigration minister's birth certificate, and not your own??

What a ridiculous request. No reason you would ever require that.

Just so i can be sure we have the same standard for everyone who is from where the Minister was born. As CIC is refusing an application and one of the reasons given was that my birth certificate was obtained just about 4 years ago and not when i was born. My thinking is, the same could apply to the Minister`s birth cert, cos it`s not uncommon in our part of African not to get birth cert at birth, even most times we don`t register births. I could wrong, but the Minister`s wiki page does not include a birth month or day, only the year...even his PARLINFO does not mention month or day, only that he was born in 1976. Like i said i could be wrong, but need to make sure there is one law for all.

Never heard of that refusal reason before.
For Saskatchewan, new birth's are issued a b.c. and anytime after you can purchase a new one.
In Morocco b.c. as far a's I know are only valid for 3 mos. They do however have a family book in which birth's are recorded. What other reasons were you refused for?

Simple answer. No - you can't.

I would just comply. You are barking up the wrong tree.
