Hi everyone,

I have a question related to Hong Kong Police Certificate. I really hope that someone can help me!
I sent my police certificate package to Hong Kong, however now they told me that I need to provide the address of the government authority which requests for the certificate.

Does anyone know which is the right address that I need to provide them?

Please let me know.

Thanks!

I have the same problem too. Just now I was in the Hong Kong police and they said I needed to provide an address for PCC otherwise they couldn't do anything. What shall I do now?

The solution is that I replied to IRCC through uploading an LOE requesting re-issuing the letter with the mailing address. Surprisingly IRCC answered me on the same day and with the new letter I finally did the application for the HK Police Certificate.

Yet I was told that it would take 4 to 6 weeks to send out the certificate by registered mail, whose lengthy processing time is worrying. Another worries are how long it will take from Hong Kong to Canada and if the certificate could be delivered within 60 days.

Anyone with similar experience could share? Many thanks.

My timeline is below

ADR (HK PCC) -- April, 06
HK PCC submission -- April, 12
HK PCC sent -- April, 28
HK PCC received -- May, 19 (call cic on May 25)
PPR -- May, 25

Canadapost is no longer provide tracking service for international registered mail, so the only way to know cic has received it is to call them.
I called them after 6 weeks I submitted the application and they confirmed it has been received anI i got ppr the same day.

Thanks so much for your information, Sasakaka.

May I ask how you knew the HK PCC was sent out on April 28? Did you get the notice from HK Police about it?

Cheers

give them a call after three weeks of application and they will tell you whether it is sent or not

Hi Sasakaka,

I just confirmed that my HKPCC was sent on June 22th, but the request letter was issued by CIC on May 11th and it says I have 60 days to get it. Since your HKPCC took 3 weeks to arrive to Canada, it will be unlikely for me to meet the deadline. Do I just submit the letter of explanation that I have applied for HKPCC and it was sent and hope for the best? Thanks!

Upload your receipt and tell them in LOE that they will receive it soon.
