Hi Guys，
Who has the same situation with me? I need more ideas from here.
My company is going to show me the notice of lay off since my PGWP will be expired next week. My PR and BOWP is in processing, I am worry about that if I got lay off, I also cannot get my EI cause the SIN also will be expired. I am the Jan 12th applicant, I thought it should be get PPR last month, unfortunately nothing happened until now......
I have no idea about that I will lose my job and cannot apply EI.....So frustrated by CIC. Should I talk to local MP?? Can they ask CIC to push my case? Or just same result with I called CIC?
Totally lost, sucks~

Since 2-3 weeks how they are processing files.
Monday and Tuesday less activities.
Wednesday : BG in progress
Thursday : DM
Friday : PPR.

Above processing is not true for all but for most of the applicants. So don't panic if you didn't receive any updates on Monday and Tuesday.

do not worry, If you already applied for BOWP, you can work under implied status using your existing SIN number. I have that confirmed by an MP.

hahaha. Same here buddy. Jan 11th applicant. I my CIC account and email spam folder open on home and office PC for 24 hours. Bored of refreshing both and checking them.

Ask your employer to check with CIC. When I got hired I applied for PWGP and it was under implied status when I got the job. It was only after 5 months did I get PWGP. All this time I was under implied status.

What is your nationality ? Do you travel out of country a lot, serving in military/goverment ?

March 14 2016 still waiting, med done since early March, my current work permit is practically expiring this June 22. Not sure if can get any news by then

Ask your employer to check with CIC. When I got hired I applied for PWGP and it was under implied status when I got the job. It was only after 5 months did I get PWGP. All this time I was under implied status.

Yes, I submitted my BOWP already, I think have to try to talk with our employer.....

They cannot lay you off for that reason. You can legally work until your BOWP application is in process. It is known as "implied status". Even if you do get laid off, you would be eligible for EI benefits on implied status.

Thanks for you advice, I just called Service Canada, they said I can apply EI if I get lay off. I am gonna to talk with my HR first and let her know I am "implied status", if she still wants to let me go and I will apply EI. Hope I can get PPR before everything happened~

I am an Indian. I had been to India only twice in last 6 years but as I live close to USA border; I had been into USA for many times. We use to drive to USA on every weekend for shopping.

I called CIC on Friday and was told that everything is ready and waiting for the final review. OMG, endless waiting for the Jan applicants.
