Hi Guys,
I've been living in Canada since a few years, got my PR this year.
I'm applying for my mom's visa so she can visit me.
I'll be applying online and doing everything myself, so I wanted to know how should I answer these two questions on the online app questionnaire:

Question 1: Are you giving someone access to your application?
Yes, I will be appointing a representative on my behalf
Yes, grant authorization for IRCC to release your application information to another person
Yes, both appoint a representative and grant authorization to IRCC to release information to another person
No

Question 2: Did your representative give you a submission letter?
Yes/No

Obviously I won't be getting paid for any of this, just helping out my mom to apply on her behalf.
I'll be creating her own MyCIC account with her info to apply.
I'm not sure what a submission letter is.

It will be highly appreciated if anyone can assist.
Thanks!

Hi s2t2,

I have applied online too,

Question 1: Are you giving someone access to your application?
Yes, I will be appointing a representative on my behalf

Just add a use of representative form :http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/imm5476e.pdf

Question 2: Did your representative give you a submission letter?
No

No need for submission letter as you are a family member, not a paid representative.

Let me know if you need further assistance.

Paul

If you are not using a representative then the answer would be NO. IRCC are not representing you nor would they give you any submission letter.

Dear Paul
Does this worked in your case?
Because I am also applying for my parents , I want to be representative but i am not getting paid for this

so Q1 - can i select "Yes, both appoint a representative and grant authorization to IRCC to release information to another person"
and in 2nd I can select "NO"?

Thanks in advance

For Online applications, you need to upload documents that you will verify after completing. You can not upload those specific documents after printing and scanning them. You will know once you started the application.

Other than that, there are documents that are just fillable and your parents need to sign the forms.

Here are the instructions, go through them carefully as you may need to provide documents according to the country your parents are living in.

1) No
2)No
You can create account and fill all details as if she is doing it. I did it for my inlaws couple of years back the same way.
