Parents study visa, children education in Montreal

I have study visa for masters from Concordia University and will be joining in Sepember 2017. My daughter is 5 and I would like her to join a school. She will be on TRV.

Can someone share their inputs on how to find a school, do we need to contact one now, what about education costs?

I dont want to send my daughter to English private school. I would prefer public school for her. Any idea?

Note that your children will have to attend school in French unless they receive official authorization to attend in English:

That link is for english school board , as you will be on study permit you have option to send your daughter to english school else french public schools are always an option .. you can visit any nearby public school based on residence ...

One last question, would the education for my daughter be free or reasonable if they are attending french public school?

French school must be free no doubt but id you think public school it will cost you a lot either English or French.
