Hi, does IRCC make requests for Schedule A, police certificate, and medical exam before or after the application gets sent abroad to the visa office?
I have seen different people requested at different times. Doesn't seem like its carved in stone that it is requested prior to them sending it to VO

It was linked last night itself. There is no message in GC key regarding of submission of any document. There is just one message saying that our application is linked and in the application status it is written that " we are reviewing your application and send you message when we need something" that's it!
ahh ok....give it till tomorrow then call on monday if there is no update in your online account

So once you link your account, do you still have to wait for the requests? I thought it would just automatically be there. My wife registered her account and the messages currently say: "You do not need a medical exam. We will send you a message if this changes" and "You do not need an interview" and "Background check - Not applicable".

Have we just gotten fantastically lucky or is this something that everyone sees when they first link their account?

Lol, no, that's normal - the requests come in, they're not automatically there :)

1 7 0 would be the shortest one
it is for express entry but when you tell them you are applying under family sposorship they will transfer you which will be really quick although it is not guranteed that they will always transfer you i tried 5 times like this out of which three times I got my call connected because of this reall quickly otherwise atleast 40 minutes of wait or most of the times due to high volume of calls you are not able to get through.

best of luck
Hmm this keeps leading me to "invalid option"..could it be missing a couple numbers?

unless you selected to not to withdraw your application if the sponsor is not approved, decision made usually means the sponsor was approved...otherwise I don't think you would get the medical requests

for me I got the SA email the day after I saw decision made in ecas

Thank you! I just received awhile ago my email letter of approval of my sponsorship... sO happy! Glory to God!

COngrats and thanks for sharing timelines. Good luck moving forward. Besides you mentioned you submitted additional documents using mycic upload ? if you were able to then why did you send through webform and mailing ? to save time ? for me i could never see upload option on mycic so ended up attaching in webform and physical copy mailed on may 26, 2017. no response or status change yet.
I was thinking too so I could save money but sometimes CIC is hard to guess thats why i dont want to take any risk in submitting my husband documents.... just want to be safe or as part of parania this past few weeks lol... hopefully everything works fine! Goodluck to us!

Gah. Thanks for killing my dream. How long does it generally take to receive a request after linking your account? We're actually planning on traveling to Canada in July and I'd like to be able to get the police check done quickly.

Hi!
We've got the same case with you. Luckily, someone answered my query here. It's highly positive that you're already approved as a sponsor if they already asked for additional docs ans sent PA a medical request. Try checking you eCAS and click on "decision made". it will show you if they already sent you a correspondence regarding the decision. If it still says "we started processing..." then wait a little bit more. Hope you receive yours in no time. Coz ours never arrive.

Hi Kuleng24 i just received email letter that im eligible to sponsor my spouse... im sO hapoy.! Glory be to God! Hopefully his medical went well and be transfered to Visa office here in manila yo the soonest...

We never linked our account as we have lawyers. It totally depends though. This was my timeline for context

Mar 1, submitted
Mar 13, In process
Mar 14, AOR
Mar 28, Medical request, RCMP Request, Fingerprint Request
Mar 29, SA
April 20, Mailed Sched A
Apr 25, Sched A added to file
May 12, Sent to VO
May 18, in process @ VO and AOR2

So I just spoke to a representative from CIC regarding why I still haven't received by SA, though I got my AOR1 on May 18. So apparently, they say that i landed as PR late Jan and I got married early Jan 2017. They are investigating why I didn't declare her when I landed here. I told them that i had mentioned it to the immigration officer at the time of landing, and they asked me if I have that in writing from the Immigration Officer. How was I supposed to know that I am expected to get a letter in writing from them regarding the declaration? The CIC rep told me that they have a note from the case processing officer from May 25th, indicating that they are looking for a shred of evidence regarding this declaration.

Anyone else in similar situations?
I am confused...so you DID declare if you mentioned it, no? Or was there something you have to fill out or notify change of marital status or..?? Like do you think you misrepresented yourself or
