sorry I didn't get that
Can he fly from USA to Canada ?

Normally they would expect him to come back home for passport pick up and all.
but there may be change to it since he is currently in the states and there's been change to how passport is sent to VO now.

but I don't know if he can send his passport from US to Ghana and have it returned to him in US and enter Canada from there.

Hi all! I'm sponsoring my husband from Ghana. I just had a few questions that hopefully I can get some insight:

We have a child that is 4 months old, does this speed up the process?

I got a letter on February 10th saying i have been approved to be a sponsor. I went to check on the status of my application and it says its "in process and it was received March 2nd. What does this exactly mean and would the next correspondence be about approval?

Lastly, when I did my application I hired a lawyer , I just had my son. I noticed there was a spelling mistake of my husbands name. Some of the forms say Jesse (which is correct) and some of the forms say Jessi. When I got the sponsor approval letter it said Jessi. Will this mistake ruin my application? Am I doomed ?,

TIA!

Hey hun. First about your child, not to dampen your mood but it makes no difference nor does it speed up the process. I have a 10 month old as well. I wish somehow it did though....

"In process" is just another way of them saying, we have your file entered in our system. But not necessarily being worked on. In process can mean, they are doing your security/background/criminality check. AVO is not known to send you any correspondence unless they need to let you know about an upcoming interview, requesting more documents, passport request or pick up and visa issuance.

If possible, bring your lawyer's attention to the mistake in the name. And in addition see if you can send a case specific enquiry email with the correct info.

Every application is different so keep your head up. I know how hard it is to have your husband away especially when there's a baby involved.

All the best of luck hun

This visa office is really slow honestly

Because we still have people who file in July, aug and sept last year , were still waiting .
For me I file for my hubby in sept and we're still waiting

So you just have to be patience

God will see us through

Welcome to the forum. Yes we know how difficult it is to wait, you're in for the long haul. Don't expect to hear anything from them for many months. We filed in August 2016 and have heard nothing since September last year. It's tough but this community is great. Patience is the key. (Although I feel mine is running out...)

Yeah unfortunately the accra visa office has not been part of the new commitment. Yes as quickly as the days do go by (hard to believe it's been 9 months) at the same time the days draggggg.
