Anyone applied a Student Permit from Philippines?

Anyone knows whether declaring more than USD 10,000 at BOC will lead to taxes? Or is it just for their record-keeping? Has anyone filled out this form?

However, for amounts in excess of US$10,000 or its equivalent, these should be declared in writing using the prescribed “Foreign Currency and Other FX-Denominated Bearer Monetary Instruments Declaration Form” which is available at the BOC desk in the arrival/departure areas of all international airports and seaports.

Not necessarily, but it will bolster your application, that is if you can prove that you or your husband is part of the business, and that business is making money. How can you prove na you/he is making money thru that business and how long na you/siya sa business

Mortgage ay hindi mo pagmmay-ari until you are fully paid right? It is an expense/liability not an asset

If kasama ang buong family, yes mahina ang application mo. But no one can tell if mareject, only the VO can tell

Pero aaminin ko nakaka stress nga. Panay check ako sa CIC from time to time lalo na pag lunch break hehe Pero based ba kayo ni dolly sa UAE? Lapit na siguro decision ninyo kasi 7 weeks na. Don't worry, if okay naman at nag submit naman kayo ng complete documents okay na yun. Think positive nalang tayo. I checked yung processing times, at least 7 weeks so wag mawalan ng pag-asa hehe almost there!

Mine took 11weeks, 7weeks ang processing that time

I am also a nurse but I'm taking business administration diploma. Mahaba nga lng story ko Kasi kumuha PA ako ng upgrading tho di ko naman kelangan, just to have the study visa. Needed ko Kasi kumuha agad ng visa para makapunta agad ng Canada (family reason) I just made a strong SOP, I justified why I needed to take upgrading for my career etc etc. I'm majoring in supply chain. Do you think I can fly in Mid October kahit sa January pa start ng class? Magkakaproblema kaya sa POE? I heard snowfall starts in November so I kind of want to settle first before that. Plus my bestfriend lives in Winnipeg and I would like to stay there for a month muna as he would like to tour me around the city (both Winnipeg and Regina). Graduation nya din kase sa October so I want to be there. I can provide 2 addresses (my friend's address and my condo in Regina). I will bring siguro mga 5-8K CAD to show POE na I have something to support my travel.

Any insights?

Thanks for your reply, so ayun mawindang na kami ni dolly sa kakahintay.. Kasi siya 7 weeks na and she applied online in philis, and myself naman more than 6 weeks na here from UAE.. everyday kami nag aabang haha sa isat isa..

Hi nakapg lodge na ako 3 weeks palang. salamat sa reply. Sa philippines ka ng apply tama? online? ako kc Abu dhabi paper base, mostly kasi sa nabasa ko sa trend nato 2 weeks palang narerefuse na dto sa vfs Abudhabi, cguro depende sa country applying. Kaya ngtatanung ako kung ilan weeks bago na receive refusal mo. Salamat again
