Seniors,

I have a question on PCC. I will be getting my Indian PCC through consulate in Chicago next week. However, after getting PCC I will be traveling outside the US multiple times including a trip to India.

Will this be a problem?

Yes if your e-APR date is after your latest India trip.

If your Egyptian PCC issue date is after you left Egypt then that should be fine.

Are you sure that i should issue my pcc after departing country of origin ?????
No, that answer was for that specific person as he will be traveling to Egypt to apply for his PCC. If you are getting a PCC for country A where you no longer live, your PCC should be issues after you left the country. If you are getting a PCC for a country B where you are living right now, then the PCC should be preferably issued within 6 months of its submission except the case where the PCC itself has an expiry date.

For countries in which the applicant no longer resides, the police certificate must have been issued after last time the applicant lived in that country.

Who needs a police certificate?

In general, you and all the people in your family who are 18 or older need to get a police certificate.

You may need a police certificate from any country or territory that you have spent six months or more since the age of 18.

For example: if you visited, worked or lived in a country for two months, left for a few years, then returned for four months, that counts as spending six months there. In this case, you would need a certificate.

If you need a police certificate from a country or territory and:

1.) are currently living there, or received the police certificate before leaving, the police certificate must be issued within six months before you apply.
2.) have lived there in the past, the police certificate must be issued after you last lived in that country or territory.

This is on CIC website:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/police-cert/intro.asp

So according to my understanding, you need to have your PCC issued after you leave the country. I might be wrong and would like others to give their input in this regard.

Yes this is true for countries of residency
However, we are asking about our home country
