It does not matter from which PSK you have obtained the Indian PCC. All that matters to IRCC is that you have a clean record.

Now maybe the PSK people have their own rules and the Noida PSK people might provide you PCC only after you change the address in your current passport. Else, you may travel to Jaipur and get the PCC in just 1 day to avoid the hassle of address change in passport.
Many thanks! that was really helpful. However, I have just a doubt - would Jaipur PSK provide PCC when I no more stay at that given Jaipur address? and even if they do, I hope CIC accepts it? (since it is not from the present address).

Would appreciate your advice. Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Do you or your spouse need a police clearance for travel over 10 years? My husband worked in Saudi some 20 years ago, and its nearly impossible to get a police clearance from that country. Does he still need it as it over 20 years ago?

On IRCC website, it is mention that for all countries where the applicant resided for a period of 6 months or more since the age of 18, a PCC should be obtained. Now, if it's not possible to obtain Saudi PCC, then kindly mention that in Letter of Explanation (LOE) the reason why it can't be obtained.

I have a question regarding police clearances. I left a country permanently in in 2009 and have not been back there since. I have an original police clearance which was issued in 2010. Can i use it or do i need to get a new one?

Cheers

I am currently residing in say City A and this is the city where I have lived all my life. My passport has this address too. Now suppose I move to City B next month for a job change, then at the time of obtaining PCC for my country of residence, do I need to get it from City A or City B?

You need PCC for every country you stayed 6 months in total since you turned 18. It does not matter the stay was continuous or not, what matters is total 6 months.

Read the CIC instructions on PCC:

Who needs a police certificate?

In general, you and all the people in your family who are 18 or older need to get a police certificate.

You may need a police certificate from any country or territory that you have spent six months or more since the age of 18.

For example: if you visited, worked or lived in a country for two months, left for a few years, then returned for four months, that counts as spending six months there. In this case, you would need a certificate.

If you need a police certificate from a country or territory and:

are currently living there, or received the police certificate before leaving, the police certificate must be issued within six months before you apply.
have lived there in the past, the police certificate must be issued after you last lived in that country or territory.

Hello forum :)

I am confused about one thing.... CIC on their website says "We will not accept police certificates sent by mail for Express Entry applications." .... I am not sure what "mail" are they referring to.... suppose I need to obtain PCC from country X, after making a paper-based application, if X couriers me the PCC, it won't be accepted? Is it mandatory to travel all the way to X to collect it in person? Or by "mail" are they referring to "email" as in soft-copy of the PCC not accepted, they require the original hard copy? Or by "mail" CIC saying it must be uploaded instead of mailing the hard copy? Any idea? :)

Modern times lead to modern confusions.
"Mail" refers to documents sent by Post or Courier to a mail box.
IRCC will not accept PCCs sent to them directly via mail.
You need to upload scan copy of original PCCs in your eAPR.
