Called yesterday 8/25
Processing June 27th
Opening July 6th

Thank you for the update , my application was received on July 6th. So I think they might have opened it. I will call after a week to check the status.

Anyone who submitted FBI PCC after the extension?

When I press the upload button on mycic page, it asks for "Document Number", "Issue Date" and "Expiry Date" for the document. I am very confused about document number and expiry date since there is no expiry date and no document number?

Please help me with this as my deadline is in a few days!

Thanks

I mailed out the application to FBI on Jul 9 and my credit card has been deducted 18USD today. I think it's getting faster now. Just for all your reference. Thanks!

My application was mailed out 6th July and here I am still waiting on 26th July

God I so hate the procedures in USA sometimes

When I spoke to FBI folks they said I can only request another copy to be mailed out on 27th July so I can do nothing but wait

In the mean time, I requested an extension to my application on July 16th (my extension was expiring on 18th July) but I have yet to hear anything from them

Has anybody else faced such a delay from CIC when requesting a 2nd extension? If yes, then what did you do? Just wait longer, I guess?

Hi,

I know I am asking this late, but did you received your FBI PCC?
Which city in India are they mailing to?

I am in Hyderabad and FBI has mailed my results on aug 25th. Hoping it reaches before Sept 20th, which is CIC's deadline.

Hi guys,

This is my timeline:

June 20th - app received
August 17th - CC charged
August 24th - finished processing
August 26th - mailed out
August 31st - arrived

I am in Western Canada. Thanks.

Guys,

Anyone know if CIC keeps the whole case processing on hold until they receive the FBI Clearance report or not?

I can only speak from experience and speculation rooted in that experience.

My application was submitted on March 4; my FBI PCC was submitted on July 14 and only added to my file on July 27. I received my PPR on September 2, which is 37 days after that.
My experience would tell me that most of my case had been processed beforehand, and the VO was just waiting on the FBI PCC to finish work on it. Either that, or I literally had the easiest case in the world to process and accept lol.

Hopefully that answers your question.

This is helpful, thank you.

Did you have any change on your "background check" section throughout those 37 days? Similary, I submitted the FBI PCC recently, and there has been no change on that at all since the AOR.

Hi Everyone,

I haven't read through the entire thread on this forum as its 314 pages long.. ;)

However, I would be needing the US PCC as well so I wanted to start preparing in advance. My CRS score is 458 and I am hoping to get ITA soon. If not EE ITA than OINP nomination in Nov'16.

I am really confused about this fingerprint card that I need to provide. I am from India and I don't know who will create this and how much will I be charged for the same.

Appreciate if someone can help me on this.

None- my BG Check only changed to 'In Progress' the day I got my PPR, an hour or so before I got my PPR, actually.

Hi Aragorn - I am from Pune, Maharashtra. Someone had told me some agencies like JSK and forensic experts, etc but they charge a bomb. I think somewhere around 5000 to 8000 Rs. so wanted to check with the group if there are any cheaper options available

I got it done from Truthlabs in Hyderabad. Someone said that there's one in Mumbai too. Check if you have one in Pune. It costed me 1700 something. They did it quite well and my fingerprints are through. Just waiting for the results to be delivered.

Well, I got them done by JK Consultancy in Delhi. It was a bit expensive, but they got the job done very thoroughly and very fast.
I am sorry, I do not know of any options in Pune. But if traveling is an option, then Delhi is one you can consider- International Fingerprinting Services and JK Consultancy are among two of the options you could look into.
