Hi All,

I have got my FSW visa recently and will be doing my landing in Canada soon. However, I have two questions and it would be great if anyone can help me:

1. I have bought a One Way ticket to Canada and I got worried that this might be an issue during airline checking-in since I don't have a return ticket and a PR card yet. Would showing them my visa and COPR be good enough?

2. Do I need to submit IMM5444E (application for a PR card) upon landing?

Thank you for all the help and sharing your experiences :)

q no. 1 = It only applies if you are coming to Canada as a visitor. You are already a PR or approved for a PR, so no worries.

q no. 2 = yes you need to state where you will be staying during the short interview with the immigration officer and that's the address where they will be sending you the pr card.

1. You should be fine. If the airline wants to be super strict, then you can buy a fully refundable return ticket and just cancel it once you are in Canada.

2. No, you don't need to submit that form. The CBSA officer will apply for the card for you.

Thank you all for the replies.

I guess I'm good with my current ticket and hopefully will be okay :)

have a nice day.
