I am also confused herein :

I have 3 years bachelors degree from India - WES assessment is 3 years equivalent Canadian Degree

And I have done 2 post graduation certificates from Canada- 1 year each

Now :
When we fill in the details - shall we choose two or more degrees/ cetificates with atleast one 3 years or more at each step or just once ??

Because every time we have to choose one option - in my case if i have to write details of 3 degrees - will I choose the same option " two or more degrees/ cetificates with atleast one 3 years or more" it 3 times??
Hi ssd,

You have to select option "Two year or more certifcate, diploma, degree bla bla bla" at each steps , then save and submit it carefully.

Level Of Education Field:::::::::::
(Non Canadian)Bachelor's (WES 3 years) : choose "Two or more certificate, diploma, degree bla bla bla" Plus
Be careful : you should add your ECA# and there is another field at last saying
"Level of Education(Canadian Equivalent)" section: Select "Bachelor's Degree or three or more year bla bla" since your Canadian equivalent says "Bachelor's(Three years)"

(Canadian) Post Graduate Certificate #1 (1 year) : choose "Two or more certificate, diploma, degree bla bla bla"

(Canadian) Post Graduate Certificate #2 (1 Year) : choose "Two or more certificate, diploma, degree bla bla bla" Plus

After submission Wait for atleast 24-30 hours to update.

Cheers!!

Hi guys, can you help me?

I have two ECA Reports:
1. First I got a report for my Bachelor's degree which came as Bachelor's degree (four years)
2. Then, I got a report updated to add a new degree and now I have a new ECA report, with a new Reference number, which says Diploma (three years) and bachelor's degree (four years)

So, should I set both degrees with the new reference number?
And should I:
a) leave both as Two or more certificates (...);
b) both as Bachelor's degree or other programs (...) or;
c) one as Two or more and the other as Bachelor's degree (...)?

I appreciate your help.
Correct me if I understand your question properly , so you have now Two WES report of your two credential
1st Report (Canadian Equivalent) : Bachelor's Degree (four years)
2nd Report (Canadian Equivalent) : Diploma (Three Years)

IF YES................ See below details, IF NO then specify more clearly

Hence u r belongs to on of this Category :
Bachelor Degree OR Other Programs (Three or more years )
ECA assessment results:

College Diploma (three years)
Diploma (three years)
Three-year diploma in [name of discipline]
Three-year advanced diplomaFootnote 1
Bachelor's Degree
Applied Bachelor's Degree
Bachelor's degree (three years)
Three-year Bachelor's degree, specializing in [name of discipline]
Three-year Bachelor degreeFootnote 1
Bachelor's degree (four years)
Four-year Bachelor's degree, specializing in [name of discipline]
Four-year Bachelor degreeFootnote 1
Three-year post-secondary Diploma with a focus in [area of concentration]Footnote 1

Bachelor of Technology degree with a focus in [area of concentration]Footnote 1
Three-year Bachelor’s degree with a focus in [area of concentration]Footnote 1
Four-year Bachelor’s degree with a focus in [area of concentration]

Thank you for your help.

Actually, I have one more recent report that shows both credentials. What I did was to set one of them as Bachelor's degree (...) and the other as Two or more certificates (...). And since my ECA report shows both credentials, I left the last field as Two or more certificates (...) in both degrees. I got the total points for two credentials or more.

Is it correct or should I set both as Two credentials or more (...) like you said?

Hi there,

I read your post and I am also facing the same problem. I am stuck in education component and really need your advice. I have done 4 years bachelor from back home and in Canada I have done 2 years diploma. However, when I finished my profile, I only got 119 points in education component.I follow your instruction and did the same. The only difference is ECA for which I am still waiting. Please advice or suggest me if you have better idea about it.

Thanks

Hi Sumitthegreat,

Hope everything is going good!

I have the same question as yours, I did diploma after 12th and then joined b.tech, will that be considered as two degrees or just one. It would be great if you could let me know what happened in your case or any advice on the same
Thank you

Guys whoever knows my case, please respond.

I have a 3.5 years diploma in Electronics & Comm Engg. after my secondary (10th) from India and then lateral entry in to 2nd year of B.Tech course admission so basically 3 years bachelor degree (though course is 4 year degree).

Will I be getting points for two degrees (B.Tech + Diploma) or only one (B.Tech) ?

Hi all,
Just reviving this thread as there too many questions in this thread, but not a definite answer.

I too have a post secondary 2 year diploma and a 3 year bachelor degree.

Is it worth me to get both of them evaluated by WES? in the hope of getting points for "Two or more" option. From this thread http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/option-selection-in-level-of-education-t375967.0.html , it says it is worth to get both of them assessed.

Just checking if anyone had success with getting positive ECA for a two year post secondary diploma for non-Canada institution.

I was confused in education credentials section, while creating my EE profile.

As I did Bachelors degree from India and I got ECA for that which equivalent to Canadian Bachelors.
I did 1-year post secondary diploma from Canada.

So could I eligible to apply under "TWO OR MORE DEGREES OR DIPLOMA " section?
Should I get 128 points?

Please help me on this.

Hello everyone,

When we are filling our details in express entry, we can find the below mentioned information when we click the question mark at the level of education section. I think it should e two or more certificates for people having more than one degree Am i thinking right ?? Do correct me if wrong .
- Thank u

"To get the correct number of points, make sure you choose the answer that best reflects your case. For example:
If you have TWO Bachelor degrees, or one bachelor AND a two year college diploma, choose" Two or more certificates, diplomas, or degrees. One must be for a program of three or more years.
If you did not earn a Canadian degree, diploma or certificate, you may need to have your foreign education assessed by an agency approved by Citizenship and Immigration Canada. They must show that it is valid, and equal to a completed Canadian credentialTo get the correct number of points, make sure you choose the answer that best reflects your case. For example:
If you have TWO Bachelor degrees, or one bachelor AND a two year college diploma, choose" Two or more certificates, diplomas, or degrees. One must be for a program of three or more years.

Hi All,

I have a doubt regarding the education details to be provided. In my Wes report it shows:

Summary: Bachelors Degree 4 Year

1. Secondary School Diploma and Diploma 2 Years
2. Bachelors Degree 4 Year

In CIC website These are the sections mentioned

Express Entry education factor

University degree at the Doctoral (PhD) level
University degree at the Master’s level
Professional degree needed to practice in a licensed profession
Two or more certificates, diplomas, or degrees.
Bachelor’s degree or other programs (three or more years) at a university, college, trade or technical school, or other institute
Two-year degree, diploma or certificate from a program at a university, college, trade or technical school, or other institute
One-year degree, diploma or certificate from a program at a university, college, trade or technical school, or other institute
Secondary school (high school diploma)

When u Open Two or more certificates, diplomas, or degrees section, it shows

Important notice: One must be for a program of three or more years.

ECA assessment results:

A three-year or more certificate, diploma, or degree

PLUS any of the results in the sections below (not including secondary/high school), or:

Post-Bachelor's Certificate
Post-undergraduate certificate
Post-Bachelor's Diploma
Post-undergraduate diploma
Graduate Certificate
Graduate Certificate with a focus in [area of concentration]
Postgraduate certificate
Postgraduate Diploma
Graduate Diploma with a focus in [area of concentration]
Graduate diploma
two-year Postgraduate Diploma, specializing in [name of discipline]
two-year Bachelor’s after degree with a focus in [area of concentration]
one-year Postgraduate Certificate in [name of discipline]
one-year of graduate study with a focus in [area of concentration]
Study Toward a Master's Degree

The highlighted sentence mentions any degree or diploma Plus any of the results in the sections below (not including secondary/high school), or:

So the sections below are

Bachelor’s degree or other programs (three or more years) at a university, college, trade or technical school, or other institute
Two-year degree, diploma or certificate from a program at a university, college, trade or technical school, or other institute
One-year degree, diploma or certificate from a program at a university, college, trade or technical school, or other institute
Secondary school (high school diploma)

So not including secondary school / high school diploma

and then they have Put an OR for the list of items they gave below it like

Post-Bachelor's Certificate
Post-undergraduate certificate
Post-Bache ..............................
..................................................

So my diploma comes under the section

Two-year degree, diploma or certificate from a program at a university, college, trade or technical school, or other institute

College Diploma
College Diploma (two years)
Diploma (two years)
Two-year diploma
Two-year diploma in [name of discipline]
Secondary school diploma and diploma (two years)
Associate Degree
Associate of [Arts/Science] degree
Post-secondary Diploma with a focus in [area of concentration]
Two-year post-secondary Diploma with a focus in [area of concentration]
Two-year associate degree

So IMO i think i can select two or more degree or diploma option. Please put your thoughts on this please.....

I am also in the same situation I have ECA evaluated Bachelor degree of 4 years and Ontario graduate diploma of 2 years.

Can I use "Two or more certificates, diplomas, or degrees." in "Level of education" when entering two different rows, one for bachelor and other for Graduate diploma?
