ECAS - Changed From inprogress to Application Received

Any one in this forum ecas status changed from Inprogress to application received and my cic who's medicals passed on 15th April 2015 and background check status changed to In progress on the same day.

If so please let me know

Since background check is in progress I would like to know timelines..

I was contacting my previous employer's none got calls or verification from immigration and also same with the current employer.

Does any one have updates on this.

Well, few of my friend's employers did not receive any calls till now. There background check is in progress for more than a month. They only contact when they think someone is misrepresenting any facts. That's my view.....

I heard people who got PPR request after employer got call from Immigration Isn't? correct me If I'm wrong .. even I heard in few exceptional cases like amit ... Immigration was talking to him directly....

I agree with your view they may be or may be not... I just want to understand immigration pattern how it works..

I was posting here to know people around who are in same situation like me ...

For us these two changes on the same day yesterday, April 23rd. It's interesting (good?) to see others have a very similar pattern. In ECAS, is your status "In Process" or "Application Received"? Ours started as the former but switched to the latter last week. Not sure what it means, though.

Mine when I started seeing ECAS in initial days before my medical pass and background check not changed to In progress ... ECAS status was In progress

On April 15th 2015 when my Medical passed and back ground status changed to In progress for couple of days ... ECAS status was In progress..

Around 17th I guess .. ECAS status changed to Application Received.. and there is a additional line in ECAS stating "Medicals received" ..

I dont know what does it mean .. some thing is moving with my case even I dont know what does this mean

you dont have any line on your ecas saying "we startes processing on...."? Just application received and medicals received?

Hi guys, i want to share this with you, because probably you are checking all the time your account as I did last month..

"My CIC" changed only when they returned my passports and approved my PR
so.. the only reliable tool is your ECAS. On your "My CIC" it just changed the medical result to passed. all the rest changed when I got the passport back.


If your ECAS status shows:
1 We received you app on..
2 We started to process your app on..
3. Medical Result Received.

Then you should get the passport request email any moment.

If your Ecas status shows same as above just need to check your inbox email.

What's was the ECAS overall status before Ppr request


Is it application received or in progress

My ECAS status changed from inprogress to application received after Medicals are passed in mycic ..

And in ECAS I have 3 line stating my Medicals are received .

I think CIC filtering at each and every phase ..

ECAS when we initially get access status it will be in progress

Once medicals are changed and background c hanged to inprogress then automatically ecas changes status to application received

It will change to inprogress where the actual validation checks starts ...

And if everything goes smoothly we get passport request .....

This is the pattern I guess ...
