GNM wes vs ICAS

Hi I need your help As I did GNM 3.5 year diploma in India and I saw wes don't considered GNM as diploma. Does ICAS consider GNM as diploma or not expert plz reply I am really worried

Sad to say WES will not give Diploma level evaluation..if you still not applied DON'T GO WITH WES..
They will give only "3 of years hospital studies" evaluation which report CIC not accepting and lots of applications rejected due to this in past few months..

I don't think sending +12 crt to WES making any changes.

ICAS is the other option, but even their report is still unknown..i have just applied with them,,result is awaits...it will take 3 months time to get their report..

Hi Oli2015,

I saw your query about getting GNM 3.5yrs. credential assessment by WES for immigration purpose from 2015. Unfortunately I came across your conversation with JERRY007 after I had already sent my application to WES.
Here is my report from WES for Indian Diploma in GNM 3.5yrs

Canadian Equivalency: Three and one-half years of hospital study and training.

Remarks: The credential is not comparable to a completed Canadian education
credential.

This report does not match to any of the results in conversion table for express entry application.

I really hope this info. helps many future nurse applicants before they go with WES.

I got reply from one of the person above(not putting name without permission) ...I will apply soon...

go with Icas Canada, they recognized my GNM as 3 years college diploma in Canada. All the information is on the website, you can also call and ask them. take approx 20 weeks after all the documents are submitted.

I have submit my documents to WES for evaluation. But i read from This blog that wes does not evaluate diploma in gernal nursing and midwifery.
What should i do now? Please help and guide me

You have mentioned that you have Bsc degrees from Punjab University? Was it a Post-basic or Bsc medical or non medical? If its any of those, then WES will evaluate them as a Bachelors degree. If its only GNM, then you must not go through WES. Choose ICAS instead. I hope this is helpful.

As You have already submitted your documents to wes and they will give credentials to Post basic. However, you can get your credentials of GNM from other agencies like ICES.
