Hi
I applied for my mum extension online. They approved extension for six months just before a week.
-The send me a letter in CIC account May 29 on the subject In Canada Approval letter "Dear ..Your application to remain in Canada as a temporary resident has been approved. Validity for 6 months.
-They send another letter in CIC on June 2 on the subject line Approval letter " This letter refers to your application for a Visitor Permit.
Your application has been approved and your new document will be sent to you separately. You are authorized to remain in Canada under the conditions listed on the document(s). Please read them carefully. [X] Immigration legislation requires that you and your accompanying family members if applicable, complete medical examinations. The examination(s) must be conducted by one of the panel physicians...... ............If you require any further extension of your status, you should submit an application to this office at least one month prior to the expiry of your new document(s). NOTE: Passports must be valid for the duration of your stay in Canada. Documents will not be
issued beyond the validity of passports.
-Then I got a letter in CIC account on June 2nd- Subject line- Information Letter- MEDICAL REPORT: Section A Client Identification & Summary ....... chest x-ray and laboratory tests.
It didnt say when I have to send it to them. This is for next time apply for the visa extension or this time please? They already extended for 6 months why did they ask for medical. They asked the medical first and extension later right? How can I send Medical by online or my mail?
I would be happy if you please clarify me. Thanks

No, you mother has to do the medicals now. She has a term and condition on her visitor permit that she must complete the medical. If she doesn't then she can be reported for violating T.& C.s

Hi,

I am struggling with the same issue that you have mentioned.

The online status for my wife's visitor visa extension shows that it has been approved and in the messages section there is an information message asking for medicals.

We visited a panel physician to get the medicals done, but the doctor pointed out that since the application has already been approved there is no way he can link it to the approved application.
He also mentioned that if he considers us a regular process of getting medicals done before applying to CIC, t it would not help in our case, as we cannot upload/send the medical document (provided by the physician) towards our already approved application.

Chitwan, you have mentioned a very similar case to mine, did you find out the process to submitting medicals.

Any response is highly appreciated.

Thanks.

Hello, I have a very similar situation.

CIC asked for medical on Dec 3rd, the application is approved and file is closed on Dec 4th?
I am not sure what to do now. Anyone have any experience, please share.

You have to complete the medicals as requested. As PMM said in previous posts:

"She has a term and condition on her visitor permit that she must complete the medical. If she doesn't then she can be reported for violating T.& C.s"

** Please read the entire thread, the answers are there.

Where can I see that T&C that you mentioned?
Will I be receiving an official letter of extension? I guess because the case is close on my CIC account, I am confused what to expect.

I received the approved permit in mail as well.
It did not mention anything about medical request. Can you please let me know where you sees the request?

This is what it says on the visitor record:

Conditions:
1. Unless authorized, prohibited from engaging in employment in Canada
2. Must leave Canada by YYYY/MM/DD
3. Unless authorized, prohibited from attending any educational institution, or taking any academic, professional or vocational training course.

Thank you.

Remarks/ Observations:
Temporary resident status maintained as per R183(6).

I have an even weirder thing: I got an e-mail to check my extension of stay, since I applied online. On myCIC it says "No additional documents are needed at this time" and "This application has been approved", but I have a message with medical forms. It says: "Immigration legislation requires that you and your accompanying family members if applicable, complete medical examinations. The examination(s) must be completed within 30 days of receiving this letter."

Weird this is that I did that medical in advance, since I couldn't apply online without it.

Any advice?

I also received the medical form. And my application was approved.
I think you can wait until you receive the Visitor Record in mail. It will say if you need to perform medical. Since you already performed upfront medical, I think you are good.

According to crxmugen - he/ she got this:

Remarks/Observations:
Must Undergo Immigration medical examination within 30 days. medical forms have been sent separately. HXF/OSC

Mine says:
Remarks/ Observations:
Temporary resident status maintained as per R183(6).
BXF/ OSC

Oh, nice! Thanks! SO I will receive it in mail, although I applied online? And is that it? Now I just wait for the letter and nothing else?

Yea - CIC will mail you the Visitor Record, which is the official proof of your extension of stay.
You should probably keep that in your passport, to show that you are legally staying in Canada.

I have only received that permit in mail so far.
Not sure if something else is coming? Will update if I do.
