If I get an admission from a Canadian university can I apply visa by my self instead of an agency?
is it a good idea?
is there any specific benefit if I apply by an agency?
Using an agent could actually prolong your application as visa officers would start to think you have something to hide.

But If I get "Declaration of financial support" from a friend how about the possibility to satisfy the visa officer?

Need clarification on applying online for study permit
Guys Ive got accepted to MBA sep 14 intake at Memorial, NL. I applied on my own and got a confirmation in 15 days, they didn't ask for an IELTS score as my medium of instruction for B.E was English.
Now im thinking of applying online for the student permit, is it advisable to do it on my own? or should I approach VFS? Also im worried about IELTS, is it mandatory for a Visa? CIC does not reflect anything about IELTS being a prerequisite.
Would really appreciate if anyone here could help clarify these doubts.
