folks, why would applications for spouse, common-law and same sex marriage considered " humanitarian populations"
is not there a spousal sponsorship class under family immigration category?
that is weirdo tho!

100,000 additional spaces for permanent residence for specific humanitarian populations
People already in Canada who applied through specific pathways, including:

• processing applications for spouses, common-law partners and children of Canadians and permanent residents, who have already applied for permanent residence and are awaiting a final decision ( NOT WELL DESERVED )
• aiming to process all remaining applications for those who applied under the Permanent residence pathways for Hong Kong residents that closed on August 31, 2026 ( Red flag ) x
• aiming to process all remaining applications for those who applied under the Permanent residence for Ukrainian nationals with family members in Canada pathway that closed on October 22, 2024 ( not deserved too )
• applications for in-Canada humanitarian and compassionate applicants whose applications have already been approved in principle ( Fair enough )

Processing the applications in these categories will help these individuals keep their strong roots in Canada and provide greater certainty to plan for their future.

Canada announces plans for up to 622,000 new permanent residents in 2027 would be interested if VIP members has any filthy and bigot expression, I would not be surprise if they got cooked while their favorable PC and MPs keep calling for lower immigration target but guess what happened..​

New IRCC Announcement today
Today’s announcement is a welcoming news to the H&C community.
IRC decides to grants extra PR allocations for individuals already got AIP and waiting stage 2 approval. This means you could see stage 2 speeds up. For those dont have stage 1 yet, this does mot directly apply for you, but we should see h&c over processing time decrease substantially.

We will closely observe the effect of this measure and if any updates on processing time we will update in the group right away.
