Hi there,
Has anyone had experience taking a commercial international flight out of Canada with an expired PR card?
This website states:
"Travelling outside Canada with an expired PR Card can create difficulties. Commercial transportation providers, such as airlines, generally require a valid PR Card or another approved travel document before allowing a permanent resident to board a flight to Canada."
I would have thought that airline check-in staff, and airport personnel generally, only check that you have a valid passport when departing Canada.
I'd appreciate hearing about anyone's firsthand experiences. Thanks!
