Oh lord, I am stuck - nothing at all from eligibility passed in May 2026. This length of time is now affecting my relationship - I am not sure if i am in a relationship at times.

Eligibility passed doesn’t necessarily mean the final decision is imminent, as other checks may still be outstanding. Consider submitting an IRCC web form to request an update and contacting your MP’s office for assistance if the delay is significantly beyond the expected timeframe.

Hi guys,

I had my interview last Thursday, and the officer said she believed my relationship was genuine and that I had passed eligibility before even we sat in the interview room. Her main concerns were about my background history, so she asked me a few questions. By the end of the interview, she said she had no further questions or concerns.

She told me I should receive my medical request either that day or within a few weeks. I also asked whether my application could be processed faster, and she said she would do what she could. She mentioned that these were the final steps and that my application should be finalised within a couple of months. She also advised me to complete the medical as soon as I received the instructions.

I haven’t received the medical request yet. Has anyone had a similar experience? How long after your interview did it take to receive yours? and is there still things that will make the process delay after this? is refusal still possible after this if I passed my medical request?

That is indeed great news - All will be good going forward.
