Look at the GCMS note. there should be "Instructions to partners" where main aim of SS is mentioned.

Do not know why it was sent for A34 check, No military, government or political background. From Pakistan

When you security was sent to comprehensive? After eligibility? How do you know? My question is when normally they put Someone in comprehensive security. Because if they put someone after 30 months this is unfair. Because if says my security not started.

Yes, it all depends on the officer and the individual case. Even after 30 months, if the application goes into comprehensive security screening, it could take another 8–12 months if the verification is not complicated.

Omg, A34 is the same for any application. It related to security not the kind of application

From my MP I found out that they are doing military verification, I'm from Serbia never did serve in regular army I did my civilian service in one association for disable persons. They did ask for documentation and they did get is and now they are doing the review. From GCMC notes one note is saying "Partners indicate that file is still under review - no time given' this one is from June 2025. another one older from Nov 2024 "File reviewed & O/S for final decision" Security in Process for PA' They are probably checking that military / civilian service but why its taking so long I dont know.

My application is in A34 since March 2025, and no info so far.

Can anyone here suggest a lawyer who has done mandamus cases with litigation when the case was under A34 screening ?

I contacted a couple of regular immigration lawyers, but they didn't reply. I have a feeling they hear A34 and don't want to bother.

Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Hello,

here's my honest response, I've started the mandamus process and know people who have done so with lawyers and without. It is no longer worth it, the court is backlogged with mandamus applications and DOJ doesn't care anymore, your file will be considered for leave in around 1 year after submitting ALJR. If you want to take a chance self-represent, you will only pay 50$ for the ALJR, and any notary fees necessary.
