Hi everyone

I am an international student in Canada enrolled in Masters degree. I have student permit valid till August 2027.
I got married after the second semester of my study and then my spouse applied for SOWP.

We applied on August 4th, 2026 and the estimated processing time was 11weeks at the time of application (now it shows 8 weeks)
It has been 12-13 weeks now and still haven’t heard anything from them yet. Any suggestions on something we should do or should we just wait.

(We applied in June as well but the application got rejected within 10 days because they said i was missing some documents after which i completed them and filed a new application as mentioned above)

The issue is your study permit expires in less than 16 months for approval. Hopefully they will overlook it but times are just estimates. You can send a webform.
