2023 PR Applications Timeline (Protected Persons & Refugees)

Applied on April 2023 but nothing till now. 3 months ago after all these years they sent my file for comprehensive background check to CBSA. Secoundry office also changed to Montreal, applied and live in Ontario.
After fucking 43 months now notes show security in progress, it means they have not done anything for the past few years and unlucky guys like me and our applications was getting dust somewhere for nothing.
My work permit expired almost a year ago and I didn't extend it because I was sure my pr was coming soon but nothing..... If I apply for extension now will I get a email to find a new job while waiting for work permit extension or I've to wait for God knows how many months for them to extend my wp for me to find work? If anyone experienced something like this please advise.

Please don’t assume you must wait for PR before exploring your work authorization options. A work permit is important not only for employment but can also be requested as proof of status for banking and other official services. Hopefully, IRCC can resolve your background check soon.

As far as I understand, when they initiate the security check, they conduct one final eligibility assessment and add a note to the file. This might be the "Stage 2 eligibility assessment." The most recent note states: "protected persons processing – non-complex processing assessment."

And below that:
Eligibility: passed
Security: in progress
Biometrics: passed
Criminality: passed
Medicals: passed – exempt

As I understand it, at this stage they are completing a final eligibility assessment and are now waiting for the security clearance to be completed. Once the security clearance is granted, a final decision is issued.

June 21st. And it wasn’t on GCMS. My MP asked them and they replied that the security has started on June 21st

yes i can see that tagged non-complex on my gcms. im curious about when is the date of your non complex note? i guess it should be 16 june or 21 june right?

I have approached MP they get me back . It is within processing time. Security not started huge backlog they simply said have to wait this is what we to do.

Can you please guide me what is the procedure for demand letter can I go for the demand letter after 32 months. Or should I wait till march it will turn to 3 years.

I have approached MP they get me back . It is within processing time. Security not started huge backlog they simply said have to wait this is what we to do.

I think there's a mistake here; when IRCC changes the processing time from one month to two months, your case can’t considered within the case processing time. Currently, the processing time is 12-13 months. Any file exceeding this time should be considered fairly delayed, and 32 months is a significant delay.

We had a case in this forum who did not receive the p1 after the fd for 3 weeks! And someone else got p1, p2 and ecopr in two weeks. It’s a circus

I am waiting for p2 as well, as per ircc p1 and p2 are delayed due to workload but there is nothing to worry about.
