Got answer from my MP yesterday. Security started June 21st and waiting for clearance! 5 days after I submitted the additional docs.
My MP last week responded:
Thank you for your patience.
With respect to your permanent residence application, the security assessment is the only outstanding stage. Although your online account or GCMS notes may indicate that security has not yet started, there are many instances where officers do not update the notes while assessments are underway.

So you think mine is started or no??
Did you call IRCC after submitting they told you started?? Cause I called 100 times they told me not yet.

Finally I received my PR Card yesterday. I hope all of you receive good news soon .
Congratulations again! Your timeline is very helpful, especially for those who applied in 2023 and are still waiting. It’s great to see the full journey from application submission to receiving the PR card. Wishing everyone still waiting a smooth process and good news soon!

IRCC agents say otherwise, but the MP’s response doesn’t confirm that in your specific case. Unfortunately, only IRCC can clarify your application’s status. I hope you get your security clearance soon!

another of my friend got her P1 last week he’s April 2024 …..
I feel like nobody for IRCC and I’m so sad. He got it after 30 months. I’m filling 38 months …
they only asked me for additional document in June and nothing happened after that.

I have question please anyone has operations support center as a secondary office what I knew that this office is not responsible for Pr . And my file sit idle for 18 months after that I received eligibility when they transferred my file to Montreal office. Anybody have an idea that how it Works? Because I have been waiting for 32 months no news. After eligibility.

It seems many recent applicants are progressing at around a 13-month pace, which makes the long wait even more frustrating for older applicants. Every application is different, but you deserve clarity. Hopefully, IRCC will address the backlog soon.

If I’m not mistaken, you could also consider a pre-mandamus demand letter, ideally after consulting an immigration lawyer. It may prompt IRCC to review the delay, but it doesn’t guarantee a faster decision.
