Does anyone know if I have to be in Canada for an interview? Have one scheduled (virtual) and I am deciding on whether to cancel my flight. The interview is right in the middle of my trip.

That depends on your interview letter. I got the letter for interview but it did not mention that I need to be in Canada. However, I replied to the same mail explaining my circumstances and they approved for me to be outside Canada for the interview, and interview was held couple of days back and went well.

it can happen in person or virtually - not sure which mode is frequently used - I have seen in forums that applicants were called for in person interview in some cases

Hi everyone! Hope all is well.

I applied mid Feb - LPP was competed July 16. Only Backgorund check is in progress. Why is my application stuck? What do I do?

I heard some people were stuck in BG check for 1-2 years. I already tried contacting them on webform and requested ATIP noted. They said nothing is needed and application is processing still. The notes haven’t been received so far.

Please advice; or let me know if someone is in similar boat.
