Hello, I became a Canadian permanent resident in 2004 and lived in Canada for approximately 9 years. I applied for Canadian citizenship during that time I was invited to my citizenship ceremony, but unfortunately I missed the ceremony because I had changed my mailing address and did not receive the notice.
After that, I left Canada and lived outside the country for approximately 10 years. I have now returned to Canada and have been physically present here for about 15 months. My PR status is still valid.

- Do I need to wait until I have accumulated 1,095 days of physical presence in Canada during the five years before applying?
- Is there anything I should check regarding my previous citizenship application before submitting a new one?
