That is not true, you can link your first pr card application to youy GCKey account and track all the updates there. I did the same for myself and my dependents.
Yes-congratulations! . There is currently no way to track the first card in GCKey while it is being automatically issued, however you could monitor on your CGKey/PR Portal the following eCOPR → PR Portal photo/address review → photo approved → PR card produced → mailed to you.
  • Monitor: You may be able to see updates/status information after linking the PR card application.
  • Track: This may mean a different tracking system or more detailed PR card tracking information

Hi everyone,

I have quick question.
Anyone has similar situation like back home govt employee has not received FD. March 2024 applicant. 30 months passed only eligibility passed last year October. Anyone has an idea how long it takes to pass the security.

I have a question I'm curious about. I read that some people here were asked for an A34 security screening. To understand the process better, I'm asking if those who were asked for an A34 during their PR application also experienced delays in their asylum applications?

Also, a very extensive security check is already conducted during the asylum process. Is it logical to repeat this during the PR process?

And another question I'm curious about: did those who were asked for an A34 cross the border or arrived with a visa? If they arrived with a visa, certain background checks are also conducted there.

Hello guys.
Just for to keep hope, people with dependants overseas.
Im August 2023 applicant. I got PR on May 2026.
My dependants were contacted since May asking for some documents.
And they received now in September the request for passports, ready for the PR visa and the COPR (of course they need to do the landing for the PR to be valid) but this is a light in the darkness, a relief after almost 5 years apart from my family. Probably ,it will take full 5 years until they finally can come here, but there is hope and I want to share it with people with dependants overseas.
Congratulations

Guys, my PR application was submitted by paper. I heard that people who applied by paper usually receive P2 much later because the officer has to create the PR Portal account for them, and apparently, this can take a long time. However, people who submitted their PR applications online seem to receive P2 much faster.

I’m worried about this. If anyone has experience receiving P2 after applying for PR by paper, could you please share your experience with me? I would really appreciate it.
I would not assume that a paper-filed PR application automatically means a much longer P2 wait. IRCC specifically allows paper applications to be linked to an IRCC secure account,
