I am writing to see if anyone has any idea or similar experience about my case?
My timeline:

• PR application received: September 25, 2023
• Biometrics completed: March 27, 2024
• Security/background screening started: November 6, 2024
• Mandamus application filed in Federal Court
• The government submitted its response opposing the mandamus in March 2026, stating that security screening was still ongoing

My PR application has now been processing for almost 35 months, including approximately 21 months in security screening.

Has anyone with a similar non-Express Entry PNP timeline recently received PR? Did mandamus eventually help, and how long did security screening take in your case?

Any genuine experience or informed interpretation would be appreciated.

I need guidance on the right documentation if a spouse of a PA is previously married.

We added only the Divorce decision of the previous marriage and current marriage certificate.

Do we need to also add the marriage certificate of the previous marriage?

The principal applicant hasn't been married before and we currently have 2 kids and are inside Canada with Open work permits,

Does anyone have experience like this?

My application passed 41 Months and Comprehensive Security took 28 months in completion. I also filed mandamus and I reached to the Memorandum of Argument stage and the decision was in court for judge review. But I discontinued the mandamus because of marital status change. My everything has completed a week ago but no Final decision yet.

Best of luck with your decision! How did you confirm that all stages, including security, are completed? Did you check through the IRCC tracker? It doesn’t seem to be working properly these days.

Thank you, I received fresh GCMS notes, which showed all the assessments are completed. Only medical was showing Passed (Expired), but it updated to Passed later in GCKEY.

Have you done anything else after everything was shown as completed (e.g. calling IRCC, contacting your MP)? I just don't understand what the holdup is to finalize your application now.

This portal was so active back days. now IRCC is sleeping and this portal too. Most of the people get tired of waiting and updating their status as no advancement in this application. It seems Canadian dream became a nightmare to each and everyone who are waiting for years.

Yes, I contacted with MP and called IRCC, the MP office mostly taking time in response and the IRCC call agent said everything has completed and your file is waiting for final approval in the queue, I don't know why the are not releasing the final decision. IRCC will kept you in waiting in every stages.
