You can’t link your application until you get AOR.

Any updates for AOR? How much longer do dependents abroad have to wait for permanent residence processing?

Congratulations! August applicant here still waiting for Aor
Maybe the officer is still working on your file to make sure it is complete. Make sure to respond to any requests for additional documents/information.
Do you part, and don't worry.. just be patient.. We all have to do this, respond to any request from IRCC, timely submission of any additional information.. and be patient.. and most importantly.. try to improve and develop our skills and integration..

You and me have similar timeline except I never received any update after providing biometrics and also the recent request of updated documents submission. Hopefully we will have things moving even faster in the coming months.

Congratulations and thank you for your kind words of encouragement. Cheers!

Its exactly a year since I submitted my PR application. No AOR yet. I received a temporary number in November last year. Thats it since then. I am wondering what could be wrong

Found something interesting here.

According to this, the one time initiative has been taking place and processing the applications submitted before or on 15 August 2025.

Family Reunification and the Protected Persons in Canada – One-time initiative

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada recognizes that the volume of applications for permanent residence from protected persons and their dependents exceeds allotted space in the Immigration Levels Plan and processing capacity, resulting in delays. To address this challenge, the Department announced on November 4, 2025 the 2026-2028 Multi-year Levels Plan which included a one-time initiative to process permanent resident applications for approximately 115,000 additional Protected Persons in Canada and their in-Canada dependents. This is in addition to the admissions space of 20,000 for Protected Persons and Dependents Abroad within the Levels Plan for 2026 and 2027.

To be included in this initiative, individuals must have received protected person status after a decision by either the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada or Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada through a pre-removal risk assessment, and submitted an application for permanent residence on or before August 15, 2025.

So what would be the timeline for people applied after August 15? 3 years again?
