Hello, I’m just wondering, some people mentioned that they got a Police Certificate from the Canadian RCMP. Is this required for a citizenship application? I don’t see anywhere in the application instructions asking us to provide one. Could anyone clarify? Thank you.

If it doesn't ask for one, you don't need it.
The police certificates for citizenship are from other countries. IRCC can place a request directly to RCMP/others domestically as needed.
I can't speak to what RCMP certificates people are getting - there are other uses of course. Some people waste time and money getting things that aren't asked for, needed, or useful.
I am facing same problem.

@rlponline I mean, sure, send a webform to IRCC to let them know you're back if you want, but besides that , all there is to do is to be patient. Your AOR was only 3 months ago, you're not "behind the curve".
Hi guys, I’ll be applying for Canadian citizenship as soon as I reach 1,095 days, and I’m trying to avoid any unnecessary delays.
A few questions for those who’ve already gone through the process:
1-Is it worth uploading copies of my passports under Additional Documents even if they’re not requested? If yes, should I upload every page or just the pages with visas, entry/exit stamps, and flight tickets? (I have 7 trips.)
2-During one trip, I had a layover where I had to leave the secure transit area to collect my luggage and re-check it with another airline. My passport was stamped on entry and exit, but I never actually left the airport or visited the country. Should I list this as a separate trip in my travel history?
3-For a short period, I updated my address with the CRA because I was working in another province , but I didn’t update IRCC since I later moved back to my original address. During that time, I also applied for a travel document using my original address because I was travelling frequently and wanted a friend to receive it and send it to me if needed. Is this something I should explain or update when applying for citizenship, or is it not a big deal? Does IRCC normally compare CRA address history, or are they mainly concerned with actual residence and physical presence?

That's a direct contradiction with the "avoid any unnecessary delays" part, but you do you. Just make sure you're absolutely certain you make ZERO mistake in the physical presence section and no mistake elsewhere. Applying with no buffer is risky, so at least make it spotless to limit the already existing "risk".
That being said :
1) stick with what IRCC asks for.
2) no need for a separate entry. There's a question that asks whether you visited more than one country, list the layover there if you want.
3) dunno.
Thanks, I appreciate the advice. I did record all my travel dates as they happened, but I see your point about having a buffer. Waiting another week might be a better idea. The reason I asked about uploading my passports is that I’ve seen some people get asked for them later, so I wondered if uploading them upfront could avoid delays.
One more question: before claiming asylum, I was in Canada as a visitor with valid status. I counted those days as temporary resident days (0.5/day). Does IRCC count that period?
Yup, IRCC may ask for the passport copy, but not for the vast majority of people. If you want to do it out of an abundance of caution, by all means, but if IRCC needs the content of your passport in the first place during the processing, the couple weeks it takes you to send the copy when they ask for it will be negligible here. It's usually just easier and more convenient, both for you and the officer, to just stick to what they ask for.
As for the visitor status days. Yeah, you need to count them. But you may have also seen people getting their application returned because IRCC couldn't validate these days. Sending an application with visitor status, a subsequent asylum claim and no buffer is risky. Its much better to have a buffer that exceeds the number of days you spent as a visitor. But YMMV.
